Psycho Pass is definitely an anime worth checking out. It's a sci-fi anime, terrifyingly realistic in regards to the themes it tackles, and quite dark and dystopian. Aside from the openings, the Psycho Pass OSTs as a whole are very well done and atmospheric. Highly recommend.

Psycho Pass is honestly a personal fav I would recommend (I think many would agree with me), especially if you're a fan of a story that makes you question about the psychology and morality of people and society. There is quite a bit of action in the anime, but I think the highlight is the characterization, even down to the most minor characters. It's very real and you'll connect with all of them, and how the characters bring the story together is just so artistic, symbolic and well-written. I recommend watching this, at least the first season. Personally, I do like the other seasons very much as well, but nothing hits harder than the first.

Ling Tosite Sigure is the actual band (it is a bit hard to pronounce so you can just say LTS), it is TK's band with 2 other members, the songs under "TK from Ling Tosite Sigure" are TK's solo project., it is basically TK's solo songs he makes played by him accompanied by other session musicians he's friends with (but not the actual band members). So whenever you see the band name alone it is the actual original band, when you see TK in the name it is his solo songs. Ling Tosite Sigure is a 3 piece band formed in 2001 and has TK as a guitarist a vocalist, 345 as a female vocalist and bassist and Pierre as drummer. They are very technical band, more into the prog rock/math rock/post hardcore side. TK started a solo project in 2012 to basically experiment with other genres of music and incorporate other instruments (synths, violin,...) without disrupting the actual original sound of the band which is still a 3 piece (awesome) band.

Thing about anime is that it has a super wide range of realism ranging from utterly cartoonish to the ultra lifelike. But because it is animation, they can go just about anywhere with the show concepts. Some of the best shows combine realistic characters and environments with very out-there story concepts.

Psycho Pass OST is composed by one of the greatest composers of our generation, Kanno Yugo. Season one is written by the genius director, Urobuchi Gen. And the English Dub of the main villain is phenomenal. It is in my top 5 all time along with FMAB and Attack on Titan. If you want a taste of the music, just listen to the main theme.

I'm a huge fan of Psycho Pass! You should absolutely check it out - it's so so good. It can be gorey, but I feel it adds to the series. It's not meant to be a "comfy" show. It explores a lot of dark theme and forces you to think. I've lost count if how many times I've watched it. That said, it probably isn't a safe show to watch on KZbin 😂.

I personally prefer the second opening by Nothing's Carved In Stone. The song is called Out Of Control. And nowadays it's pretty irregular to have multiple openings compiled in one video, due to copyright takedowns. Most remaining videos are of older shows that went under the radar. Most other reaction KZbinrs just watch multiple videos and edit their reaction to compile it themselves.

There are several types of anime series. Usually they are classified by demography. The animes series you are talking about (about warriors, angels, etc) are Shounen (designed for Male Teenagers). In contrast, Psycho Pass is a Seinen (designed for Adults), where the plots are deeper. Psycho Pass is a dystopia. A world from 100 years in the future, damaged after war conflicts. In this world, Japan is a peaceful country because they created a centralized system that replaced the government. This system is smart enough to analyze people and determine the best plan for their lives (what to study, where to study, where to work, etc). However, the most important part of the series is that the system can read the "criminal coefficient" to judge people. The characters from the thumbnail are part of that Police department, which is responsible of capturing people with a high criminal coefficient. One of the best animes you could see to be honest. The only disadvantage is that it's not finished yet (waiting for a new season). Now, talking about the music. This band is Ling Tosite Sigure. It's an incredible power trio, which lead singer is TK. So, whenever you see "TK from Ling Tosite Sigure", it means that belongs to TK solo project. Hope this helps to add some background.

He's the vocalist and guitarist of Ling Tosite Sigure, and he sometimes even uses the name "TK from Ling Tosite Sigure" in his solo songs. Lastly, as you are open to many music genres, I'd like to rep my country and recommend you the song Holy Land by Angra, from the album of the same name. Angra is a Brazilian heavy metal band, and although they have a mostly European style of metal, they also often incorporate Brazilian music into their songs, and Holy Land is one of the prime examples of that.

Top 10 Anime for me. It's dark, Gritty. psychological And most of all. It's Mature. I don't mean for mature audiences (it def is though.) I mean it's story and atmosphere. the writing. It's mature and grounded heavily in realism. You aren't going to see any laser magic in this one. Just Futuristic dystopian Police Agents with an AI Controlled gun that destroys at the molecular level if you're deemed mentally unstable. Also the ending songs are top notch too.

Psycho Pass is almost like Blade Runner or Ghost in the Shell which focus more on investigation and justice dilemma under a futuristic cyberpunk set up. P.S: Coincidentally, It also kind of reflect on a lot of current dilemma U.S is facing right now with all the cases and issues they explored in this series. P.P.S: if you enjoy this kind of rock music from anime, I would recommend an ED from another not so popular anime, Death Parade, which is very underated.

Also sorry if you don't do links from the comments. I have no idea how you normally do stuff. >_> I just wanted to make sure you got a good version of it. The 2013 version of it is what the anime uses, the one from 2020 is a different singer and something about it doesn't hit the same. So here you go!
