The guy in the purple dress is a “nazareno” is a typical dress used by some people in Spain at Easter Parades, it has nothing to do with the KKK!

yup this was tradition in Malaga, even before the kkk existed.

True true let's remember they represent penance, history tells us they wore it to walk through the streets as a form of public humiliation for their sins. Nothing related to the kkk 🤣. I can't believe there has been 2 videos I've watched that has said that same thing 🤦🏽 it's ok we can explain 😂

Now THIS is what people on stan culture would call a "cultural reset". The ammount of artist that started to stylize their MVs to look like this, the live performances, the production, the outfits... Rosalía really was the blueprint for a lot of alblums and music in spanish, even today people are still referencing her in their art. So the story in the video is something like this: Woman (Rosalía) is running away from a hunter (that's what the actor is credited as). She ends up dying and we can see some men picking her up in the back of a truck as if she's an animal. Then she comes back but now she's stronger (that's why she's on this motorcycle emulating a bull) and she's going again this matador (who represents everything that's wrong with toxic masculinity). There's also this Nazareno (dude in purple) on a skateboard. It's supposed to represent men who can look all cool and modern but are still super conservative (since Nazarenos are part of the Semana Santa celebration in Spain). So the music video is a reference to how men grow up to be machos and also a way to tell a story of this woman standing up to them and telling them "HEY, I CAN BEAT YOUR ASS". Many people consider the music video is taurine culture apologist but nah, it's the exact opposite of that.

Malamente Cap. 1: Augurio (Badly Chapter 1: Omen) is the first song of her solo debut album El Mal Querer, which is actually her college tesis. She studied music, flamenco. It's a concept experimental flamenco-trap album about a toxic relationship between a woman an a jelous agresive man, based on a old novel from the XIII century called "Flamenca", where each song represents a chapter of the story. Malamente is about the beginning of the relationship in which the women has many signs to not be in it, even a gipsy told her a omen, but still she decides to go along with it ignoring the signs. Actually, this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of metaphors and meaning behind the song, and the music video ( and all of her music videos) are very thoughtful, with little elements representings every bit of the story, to the point there's many MANY blogs and videos of hours of lenght explaining and interpreting ever bit. The album and MVs are truly pure art. My favorite videos and songs from El Mal Querer are Pienso en tu Mira & Bagdad. I think you should reaction to them first before seeing her most "pop" songs, like Con Altura feat. El Guincho & J Balvin, A palé, Aute Couture, etc.

Malamente it’s part of her Mal Querer Album which is inspired on a Fourteen century Novel called Flamenca where the Character Flamenca married a guy who abuse her, in Malamente is like she have the feeling that she have to escape from him but she’s scared. Now you have to react to Pienso en Tu Mira..The Album is so beautiful is kind a theater play and all her songs and videos follow a sequence.
