Old school slipknot was heavy AF, their first 2 albums are insane. This is off their second record, Iowa. On vol. 3 they started making their sound a bit more accessible and you got songs like Duality and Before I Forget (still a great album though).

First album is full of anger, Second album is the bastard child of the angriest band in the world, third album everyone started to grow up. 5 years between first album and Subliminal Verses.
