One Piece is truly great. Even though the anime definitely has had a lot of pacing issues, it’s still one of my favorites.

You were randomly recommended so I checked out your reaction to "The Breathtaking World of One Piece" just a minute ago. I checked the comments and saw this one was recommended to you, and low and behold, it's here! I read the manga and watch the anime. I have for over a decade now. It's still a wonderful series. If you start it, take your time. There's no rush. It'll still be there 😺

Trust me do it one of the best journeys you’ll ever take and look at the 1000 episodes as a good thing it’ll never not be there and you can always look forward to having an episode whenever you want and can continue the story at your own pace instead of waiting weekly

@@DuaneDoesAnime 120 episodes?!?! Dang you got into it so fast! Nice! Tbh, I don't mind a 'per arc' review/reaction with just highlight videos if you're not doing a per episode reaction. The important thing is that you enjoy it.

For me, every filler is actually worth watching. They usually fit right in the story and sometimes even give some additional character details. As many have said, the G8 filler actually fits better into the story than the Davy back fight stuff. It's still funny though :). When watching the anime, some fillers can easily cut out, others actually leave a bit of a gap (G8 would be one of those). I've been through the whole anime 3 times now, from start to "finish". Of coruse the "finish" was something else each time :D I think my first real run through the series ended with episode 400 as this was the last episode here in germany for a longer time. They stopped dubbing the show for years. After some time I started watching with subtitles. I can't remember what episode the show was at, but my second run from the start ended around 800 I think. About half a year a go a friend of mine started watching OP with his family from the beginning. This was when I also started again after having watched any OP in a long time. I already caught up to more or less :) I think around 1106 Haven't seen any of the latest ones as I usually watch them in a batch. Jump back a few episodes and run through it :) I barely have any other people around me that watch OP, so I'm pretty much spoiler free.

If for yourself or content, watching from the beginning with a filler list tab open is good to have so you can skip filler. The movie would be cool once those established characters have been met and integrated into the show. I've also heard that "One Pace" is great for those starting out which cuts out a bunch of dragging camera angles and mainly keeps to the main points of the episode.

Some do every episode, but some watch/read and only discuss what they think about specific arcs/sagas. One Piece is a series that gets better and better with each chapter as the story gets more complicated, but the first few look pretty average which can be discouraging. PS: From the shorter series, I can offer gems with few reactions, such as: Golden Kamuy, Ascendance of the Bookworm, Kingdom, Tower of God, I could go on and on ;]. Every one of these anime is to die for. Of course, the source materials (manga / light novels) I recommend in the first place.

Movie 6 is a fun watch for sure and you don't need prior knowledge to enjoy it. It could technically spoil you on some stuff in regards to characters that join the crew so if you're sensitive to spoilers id say watch the show first and save the movie for later. Between reacting to each episode or doing a discussion video after watching/reading each arc, honestly I'd be interested in either. Personally I like alot of the filler in One Piece and I think people over blow the amount since only 95 episodes out of 1000+ episodes are filler. The real issue is all the padding included in the 2nd half of the series (long reaction shots, replaying previous scenes, etc), which personally didn't stop me from watching all of the anime because of how much I liked the story and how invested I was at that point but it's undeniably an issue. That said, the first half of the series, a little over 500 episodes, is much better paced overall.

Baron Omatsuri is a good movie but also terrifying. There is an arc in One Piece where they are in a spooky island but its nowhere close to how scary the movie was. I feel like theres tons of One Piece films where they capture the heart of the show and much respect to Mamoru Hosoda one of the best anime directors ever but he created a thriller/horror One piece movie

what most people end up doing for this series is dedicating a separate account to it and watching like one or two episodes a day. it's kind of a big ask but trust me it really is worth it for this show.

@@ReiseLukas it happens. I love Ajin but the buggy framerate mess up the show a little. People have preferences, like I prefer smoothly animated/solid stories but can appreciate others. Deadman Wonderland is my all time fav but it didn't air well in Japan so they tossed it with only like 13 episodes 😔

@@squeasel09 Yeah nah just tell them to read the manga at that point, not only is it faster paced but oda can damn well draw some good art. The anime is just worse in every way (though recent episodes have been clean).

Brother, what you can try to do is that watch and react to a few episodes and compile them into 1 video, and from time to time ask your viewers or they might tell you that which of the coming episodes can be skipped/etc. I think that's the best way to do for One Piece.

If you want an easy spot to watch the Manga cut of the show id try out one pace. I watched the entirety of one piece regularly the first time but decided to do one pace on a second viewing with friends and its much much better than the base show.

One Piece is very unique in how it tells its story. While most anime treat each seaon/story arc like a stand alone story, One Piece treats them as parts of an overall story. In book terms, most anime treat each season as a book in a series, while OP treats each arc as a chapter in the same book.

Skipping fillers in One Piece is like saying u wanna skip happiness moments in life. Fillers in One Piece built different man, most of them is so fvking entertaining to watch. And there's not even that many of them, One Piece only have like 1% fillers out of over a thousand ep, which is a little over 100 ep of fillers, you don't even have to think about the fillers in One Piece.
