The person with the messy hair is actually another girl The main girl is an office worker and the art style shift makes her look like a kid because she suddenly feels so vulnerable as the chaos issues. The end has her shedding her timid persona and standing up for herself with the other girl's help (which was not part of the original story and in my opinion is a welcome change since I wasn't a fan of the original ending) Mind you I read a machine translation, but even those inaccuracies wouldn't be so drastic as to have the events of the ending be so drastically different.

@@applegamer7467 I read the original story this is based off of and she's a girl. I'm not making this up you can take the original story (found in the description), take it into a translator, and there's a part specifically saying she's a girl. I will say that the MV has a better version of the story IMO though.
