Thank you for an honest reaction... I've seen quite a few that were, performative! I was married for over thirty years, dad to 4 daughters, Papa to 5 grandkids and a widower for nearly 9 years and this song says everything I felt over that time. Not that I would do anything different, I would do it all again. I would do it all again because if I didn't I wouldn't have 4 daughters and 5 Grandkids. I think my late wife loved me, she just wasn't very good at showing it... to me. You are a very beautiful woman, in the deepest sense of that statement and your husband is a very lucky man. I had an awesome wife. I lost her after a long battle with cancer on 10/6/23. Eleven days shy of her 50th birthday. We'd been together since Thanksgiving weekend 1988. We were 15. We grew up together. I still haven't figured out how to live without her in this world. She never left me feeling this way, but I do see what is happening to men in this country. I tried to raise my boys right. My youngest, A marine, has a good wife and a new daughter. My oldest is still struggling with the loss of his mom and hasn't quite found his path yet. I hope neither of them ever has to deal with this.

I literally go to work every day while she stays at home doing whatever... only for me to get home to her bitching about bullshit!! Last year after separating from the military I worked 2 jobs and was a full-time student just to keep the family afloat... do you think she even attempted to get damn job???!!!! I'm a veteran an here is some stats of all the suicides in this country 20 percent are women an out of the 80 percent of men 50 percent are veterans. Since these last twenty year wars we been in about 35 million veterans in this country an 22 every day is dying an no one cares. An with society like it is today with feminism beats them down it's disheartening to think we have come to a place where we are at today.
