EXO is not the most popular kpop boygroup currently as they are not being promoted outside Asia and they are on hiatus due to military enlistment of some members, BUT they still hold the titles of the most awarded KPop boy group ever and the fastest selling concert of all time. And still the undisputed KPop Vocal Kings AND idols of idols. EXO indeed didn't pave the way; THEY ARE THE WAY.

I never like KPOP but EXO is an exception. I only stan EXO, and SuperM as an extension because they have EXO members in it. EXO does all genre including rock songs and does not promote in western countries. And don't compare them to BTS, it's extremely annoying. EXO are vocal kings. They sound even better live.

The fact is EXO is still the holder of the most awards in the k-pop industry (117 on music shows, and 459 other awards) this has not been with individual awards, for example D.O who received 12 awards as an actor and so on. EXO became the first million seller after 12 years in 2013 (in only one year they debuted). Million seller as sub duo unit EXO-SC, million seller as soloist (Baekhyun, Lay). EXO has the best solo singer today, Baekhyun, with the title of million seller after 20 years. EXO also has Kai as the best Korean dancer (according to netizens and other idols), that's why EXO has become a role model for other idol groups (it can be said that exo is the idol of idols). EXO was chosen to be the nation's pick for South Korea. EXO is the only group that has a fandom with consistent strength from debut to date (2012 until now). It could be said that EXO was successful from the time they debuted until now in their 8th year. This year EXO went on hiatus because 4 members had to leave for the military, but even on hiatus all well-known brands such as Global Gucci, Dior, LV, Prada, Zegna, Calvin Klein, Bulgari, Burberry, Pasha de Cartier, Valentino, Tommy Hilfiger, Daniel Wellington, and other world famous brands are scrambling to catch up with EXO members. They are called the king of sold out. EXO didn't break records, but they always set new records that are now always standardized by their juniors. Likewise, Lay exo is already a CEO for his agency and is currently auditioning. The fact is EXO not idol group in Kpop but EXO is KPOP because they not only rule as musicians but also rule film industry, king of OSt, fashion industry, nationality (such as EXO being a nation pick, Baekhyun being a state singer in successive state events / independence days, becoming an icon of peace in Korea and China, and so on. ). Unfortunately, the target market that SM has set for exo is in Asia, SM also has very little promotion for EXO. Because SM is the big 3 agency in Korea, they have many idol groups and it is their responsibility to raise them according to their target market. SM rejects many big offers for EXO, SM rejects offers from global billboards (EXO is the first kpop group to get billboard attention), SM refuses youtube for EXO series, SM rejects many requests for cooperation with western music artists / platforms for EXO, that's why EXO is not as popular as it should be. EXO gets bad treatment from several award shows because they feel bored. EXO has been the winner for 5 consecutive years in all categories. Starting from MMA 2016, MAMA 2017, GDA, Hanteo, etc., they were proven to have cheated EXO for EXO's victory. and yeah they lost their prestigious nowadays and EXO stopped to join any award shows. And in the end they could only apologize. But quality proves everything, even though EXO didn't get good promotions, people all over the world started talking about EXO, because EXO has quality in all aspects, they are the king of vocals in kpop 3rd generation, they don't have a visual hole, they have everything we need. Moreover, so far I have not found a boygroup as good as EXO, and many even admit that they are very sorry for people who know kpop or become kpopers but don't know EXO. You must to watch exo concert! Fyi, one of exo concert Exordium in Japan earned record for the best concert of all time by Edaily Culture Award. But I think the entire EXO concert series is the best! Whether in music, stage, performance, concept, service, etc. No wonder exo so far holds the award for fastest ticket sales 0.2 seconds and 0.4 seconds. People who come to many idol groups concerts (not only exo) say that no one can beat exo concert.

EXO is absolutely legendary group, a pure gold of Kpop. They’ve truly been through a lot of struggles like loosing members and bad treatment from their company, but they're still one of the biggest Kpop boy groups ever. You definitely should check out more their stuff, cuz these guys are monsters with extra powerful vocals (that’s why they’re known as the vocal kings) and crazy charisma especially on the stage. Kings EXO never disappoint.

EXO is a South Korean-Chinese boygroup, debuted on April 8, 2012 under SM Entertainment, with 12 members: 8 are Korean and 4 are Chinese. The group was divided into 2 subunits, EXO-K, stands for EXO-Korea (singing & promoting in Korea) and EXO-M, stands for EXO-Mandarin (singing in Mandarin and promoting in China). Sometimes, all 12 of them are singing together both in Korean and Mandarin, even though the singer in the title of the song is named "EXO-K" or "EXO-M", and sometimes they're just simply singing together as EXO (it's a little bit confusing, but don't be). Each subunits consisted of 6 members. Here is the members: EXO-K: Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun (all of them are Korean) EXO-M: Xiumin (Korean), Kris (Chinese), Luhan (Chinese), Lay (Chinese), Chen (Korean), and Tao (Chinese). (real name: Do Kyung-soo), born January 12, 1993 Kai (real name: Kim Jong-in), born January 14, 1994 Sehun (real name: Oh Se-hun), born April 12, 1994 Past members : Luhan (real name: Lu Han), born April 20, 1990 Kris Wu (real name: Wu Yi Fan), born 6 November 1990 Tao (real name: Huang Zitao), born May 2, 1993 You must know beforehand that Korean people are mostly really proud beeing a Korean and a little bit racist toward non-Korean (there're even some public places, like restaurants and bars that forbid foreigners to enter, you can check it). So, being a Chinese member in a Korean-Chinese boygroup that has more activity in Korea than in China is... a little bit..... difficult. Things were fine in the first 2 years after debuted, but in 2014, a lot of things happened. Kris filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment to terminate his contract, due to lack of promotion and "had treated differently with EXO-K" and then left the group. Not long after that, still in 2014, Luhan followed Kris's step due to the same reasons. After that, they decided to just promote with EXO as one group but still singing in Korean and Mandarin. In 2015, they came back with EXODUS album (the title song is Call Me Baby) with 10 members. Tao was absent during Call Me Baby promotion because he was injured. In August 24, 2015, Tao followed Kris's and Luhan's step to left the group. Tao's reasons are mostly same with Kris and Luhan, but it's sadder with him because his injury has worsen due to SM's lack of treatment and attention. This is one of the main reason why he chose to left the group. So, after that, they're continue promoting with 9 members together, from Love Me Right era in 2015 until For Life era in the end of 2016. Since 2017 until now, Lay (the only remaining Chinese member) has been promoting in China as a soloist and absent with group activities. Actually, there's a political tension between Korea and China that making Lay in a difficult position (because China banned Hallyu or Korean wave in their country), so SM decided to just promote him in China. Beside that, Lay was an ambassador for a communist party in his hometown (2016-2019), while South Korea in general is an anti-communist country, so it's getting awkward and more difficult for him to join group activities like usual. Nevertheless, Lay is still communicating with the rest of EXO members and until this day, he is still a member of EXO. In Tempo MV which came out in 2018, there are 9 of them, but Lay didn't sing in this song. He got lines in Tempo Chinese version instead. In May 2019, Xiumin enlisted in the army and around 2 months later, D.O. followed Xiumin's step. That's why in Obsession MV, there are only 6 of them. On May 14, 2020, Suho (the leader) also enlisted, and that's marking the hiatus period of the group. They are focusing on their solos and subunits stuffs this year. On October 26, 2020, Chen also enlisted, and Xiumin will be discharged on December 6, 2020. Thank you.

EXO originally has 12 members but 3 left 2014-2015. They continue as a 9 member group. Today 4 are currently enlisted in the military hence they are in hiatus. The reason why we consider EXO as a legendary group is that they climbed and reached the top as rookies during 2013 against other senior legendary groups like Suju and Bigbang, only 1 year into the industry they winning big awards already. They are still on top till today despite being on hiatus and being an 8 year group. Thanks for reacting :)

They the 1st non- royal to endorse in bhuj khalifa aka the tallest building in the world...The 1st Korean song played in Dubai fountain ( largest fountain in the world) .. The only group to perform at the Olympics in 2018 .... Melanie Trump said that she and her family is fan Exo... They are some of the honors... Likewise... So many achievements...
