The word "guitar" is derived from the old Persian "chartar" which, in direct translation, means "four strings". The guitar's ancestors came to Europe from Egypt and Mesopotamia. Moor comes from the Latin Mauroi, meaning an inhabitant of North Africa. The Carthaginians, for instance, came from North Africa. Parts of Spain did occupied by arab moors too no? Many of their style and culture also influenced by arab which also influenced from persia, so technically spanish guitar influenced from arab/persia but ofc it got adapted to their own spanish unique style so it became their own music such as flamenco :)
