Can confirm, Taka doesn't do lip syncing. I saw them live in Hungary in a 1500 people venue and Taka does sound this amazing every time. He just mastered singing, that's it. I think people are not used to technically proficient rock singers because generally rock singers are more about just ad libbing it all. But Taka has the techniques down too, his voice is crazy powerful.

This is Japan. In Japan if you fake a performance you get black listed. They are extremely strict in that prospective. I've seen them live I a much much smaller venue with hardly any stage design, and the energy is equal to a stadium performance. These guys give it all every time. It doesn't matter if it's for 800 people or 50,000 plus they are epic. They love and respect their fans and would not give anything but the best every time. I agree to xheck out Clock strikes live 2023 luxury disease tour. When they turn the lights on Same tour has a feel of queen. ❤

I agree. Someone who take music class since their childhood would never do that. Most Japanese parents put their kids in music class on purpose. That's why Japan have so many great artist. From the unknown artist to the famous one, all of them are actually talented.

That’s true! Original an nice statement! LISA is well know because of her voice, and there was I time some people asked if she was gonna do recording music or lip sync, and she said that if she ever do that, her fan base would’ve let it go of her, because they pay to see her, cause her voice is incredible, Japanese people take music with a lot of honor and respect, when they are not okay to sing cause they’re sick or something they reschedule right away

I know it's hard to believe but he actually sounds like this live. Taka is one of the best vocalists ever. That's one of the reasons people always recommend live performances when it comes to this band. The energy, the vocals, the quality of their live concerts are insane. I saw them last year in June in much smaller venue in Prague (700 people) and the energy crazy. Yesterday, I got tickets to their next tour in UK and Germany. Cannot wait to see them again.

Thanks for reaction. 😂I understand most ppl would shock about Taka’s perfect key at live. OneOkRock is one of such bands that live is better than studio ver. I’ve been to their live a few times since I stayed in Japan, they are legit. Taka’s voice is so phenomenal. If you wanna check more live vocals in raw, I recommend Deeper Deeper (from same live Yokohama stadium 2014) No scared (from same live Yokohama stadium 2014) Kanzenkankaku dreamer (from same live Yokohama stadium 2014) Take what you want (live at Japan dome 2018) Clock strike (live at Japan dome 2023) Take me to the Top (live at Saitama Super Arena 2015) Make it out alive (at 1 chance festival 2023). Dude, Taka doesn't lipsyn. Even if he is not in his best condition or got sick during tour, he will sing live, like its his last time singing. His has amazingly good voice in his dna (his parents are well known singer with good voice) and he has been singing since he's a teen. And his band is the best in Japan, they all grew up together, met and form the band before they're even 20. I have seen Taka in concert and he is fire and even if he is speaking, his voice is so loud and clear. There are clips of him singing acappela and he sounds just like his cd, perfect. In order to be in that position, you better believe that these Japanese rockers worked hard for it and paid their dues.

Bro, i was thinking the same when i watch their live performances for the first time years ago! Not gonna lie, at first, i also thought that he was using auto-tune, lipsync, etc because he moves a lot on the stage but still sounded perfect, it's just too good to be true lol😂 After you watched a few more videos, both from their official live and fancams (you need to, seriously!!), you'll have no option but to accept the fact that this band is just that phenomenal. Taka's voice IS that amazing live, their musicianship is that perfect! Watch some more of them, and you'll see it yourself😂

@@Xia-hu Yes, of course. They don't have bad songs. What I mean by "hard sell" is their approach in selling their albums. Not direct and pushy. Not "desperate". They are not focused on that. They show their real talents on stage and live shows that will make you think you spent your money perfectly. I don't mean they could hardly sell their albums. It's just a business term I used. I hope that clears. 🤟🏽😊

I agree, they have previously stated that their records are only to spread the word and preview the live concerts. Yeah, it’s live xd granted I never was to their japan concert, they abroad shows are smaller in scale, but they sound live almost better than studio (and they always try to do something special live) - but everone who was there will tell you it was that good live xd you can ocasionally even see Taka forgeting words, or mic braking at the concert in Manila xd anyway, ‘m glad you liked it! another rly good song to react to bc it showcases their talents, but I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already... I also recomend ‘Renegades’ piano version, to see Taka’s vocal ability, and ‘One by One’ for another headbanger. And, you were thinking ab a concert? This was definitely polished post-production, but it is live. Just minor tweaks to make the sound rounder and fuller. They add reverb and take away in some parts, fix minor blemishes, add pitch correction in some parts and leave it natural in others.. These are the benefits of having lots of money to spend lol, but Taka is no doubt an exceptional vocalist! Great all-around. Good energy, range, screams and stage presence! Most bands do this when it comes to big digital Blu-ray releases, but it isn't done to the point where takes away from the experience which can in turn make it feel dishonest. It is all channeled through the sound board mixer, so the talent is there for sure.

Taka is from a VERRRY musically gifted family, both parents are musicians/singer's, one of his brothers is the lead singer of MY FIRST STORY (also good) and the other is a composer/song writer. I personally think he sounds better live than recorded! His voice is on another level and their live performances are always awesome. Crowd participation in other videos is insane. They actually include the fans as part of the performance. It's very emotional in some songs I hope you continue to venture further into One ok rock. Live they do not disappoint especially in Japan. Its like a religious experience in some videos. This video is off the charts "Take what you want" kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5zXZohvpap1oK8si=dd7N3X0rwwTZycxk

hank you everyone for your wonderful expressions. I've heard many times that rock music was "born in America, grew up in England, and was perfected in Japan." The key chords used in Japanese rock songs are diverse. If possible, please listen to BAND-MAID, Love Bites, and many others. Especially listen to BAND-MAID's "HATE?". It's great live.
