Yes, he wrote and produced this song as well as played every instrument and sang every note all by himself. What he could do was astounding. I agree with all of Samantha and Brent’s recommendations. For some reason the song “She’s Always in My Hair” came to mind for you to check out. It was the B- Side to “Raspberry Beret” in 1985. Prince’s B-Sides were better than most artist’s singles. Anyway, I like this performance from later in his career. It’s with the band he put together called 3rdeyegirl. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGTMfImjrc6Vg6sfeature=shared

Thia was from his second album titled Prince. From 1979. You should check out Bambi from this one if you want to hear him go off on the guitar.

I see Brent already mentioned Bambi from this same album. So I'll suggest I'm Yours from his debut album; it's more of a prog rock feel with Prince on everything. I'd also really love to see your reaction to some of his mis-90s rock - Endorphinmachine, Shhh, The Ride, Rock & Roll is Alive. Or some of the 2000s stuff too - A Million Days, Dreamer, Colonized Mind, Fury. 💜

Yes! I love I’m Yours and it gets overlooked when people talk about the first album. They always mention Soft and Wet and Bambi which are great as well. This is from his 2nd album Prince in 1979. He played everything on this album too.
