I sobbed the first time I watched this. The crowd and the judges were all laughing at her, before she sang a single note. You could see the looks of disgust. It made me feel so bad for her. At the same time, she did come across at kind of quirky and goofy. This performance is a great reminder to celebrate the potential in all of us. We do so much better, when we believe in ourselves and support one another. ❤

Aww loved your touching reaction. Don't ever lose that compassionate heart! Susan led a hard life. She is autistic and was relentlessly bullied both mentally and physically. She said kids at school laughed at and even threw rocks at her. She spent most her adult life up until this caring for her I'll parents till they passed. This night truly changed her life. It was her turn to shine. She got a huge recording contract and has done concerts all over the world. She is worth almost 50 million dollars now. To all those who tormented and laughed at her, whose laughing now! Thanks and take care

Omg that’s so sad! Bullying is NOT okay! If I thought I hurt someone’s feelings even just a little bit I have to apologize. She deserves everything that’s a beautiful turn around story and I hope that the people that bullied her have softer hearts after seeing her win after what they put her through.

Your reaction was spot on. This audition of Susan Boyle makes me so emotional, so raw. It opens up my soul to listen to the beauty that is Susan Boyle. I too, cry, listening to her sing. Her choice in song also is what reaches out and touches you. I have since acquired Susan’s debut album which is lovely, specifically because the album contains this very song. I thought it would sound like this version, but it does not. It was “cleaned up” by the recording studio. While she sings beautifully, the studio version lacks this audition’s vitality, hope, passion, and last “hurrah”, so to speak. I have watched this video too many times to count, usually to set me in a positive frame of mind and heart full of love. It still moves me to tears, sometimes more so than others.

What hits me the hardest in her performance is when she finished the song and then tried to walk off as if,she did her best and she knows she will be berated for her efforts. I wanna share in your beautiful reaction. Your emotion was absolutely perfect young lady. The reality is, human beings are judgers by nature, it is written into our DNA. We are all consciously or unconsciously judging every person we have in our eyesight at all times to some degree because it's critical for survival. It's ironic because the main people of the show are "Judges". lol. Therfore, we are all judges, so the words that you were possibly looking for had to do with the fact that it's just simply amazing how God works in mysterious ways and will always send us hidden gems to remind us the beauty within is eternal and shines through the vale of seperate self illusion that we are dreaming all together. I dreamed a dream, then I awoke within it. Great Reaction. Bless You
