Cricket when u watch for the first time it looks really easy, but it actually is really difficult, because the ball is at the speed of 140-150 kmph, and it is made of leather, so imagine being hit by a belt that quick. Also to judge the ball where it is going is a task... in the sporting language we call it, judging the line and the length. Also a lot of technicality is involved because u need to try reaching where the ball landed, we call it reaching the pitch of the ball. And the boundary line is almost 70-75 metres, if u try go for a big one, there are high chances u dont connect well. And cricket arguably is a sport, where luck plays a big role, because if the pitch ( the brown region ) has grass it favours fast bowlers, so it is a graveyard for spinners... and there are lot such things.

The basic scoring in cricket is: If the pair of batsmen both run to the opposite end of the 22-yard (66 feet) pitch the batsman who hit it scores 1 run. If they can run the length twice before it is fielded it is 2 runs (and so on). If the batsman hits it to the boundary (the outside of the playing area) on the ground it is 4 runs, if it goes over the boundary without bouncing (like a 'home run') it is 6 runs. There are also runs scored for 'illegal' bowls, etc., but it is runs by the batsmen that really make the difference. Unlike in baseball, a batsman can carry on batting for a long time until 'out' and does not have to run if the ball is hit; it is his (or her) choice!

You can easily see the fans holding numbers "4" and "6" if the ball rolls to the rope it's counted as "4" and if the ball crosses the rope with no contact with the field it's counted as "6" and smashed 16 of them in one innings which is a rare sight to see you might think cricket is easy by watching this video but abd was in flow and the west indies bowling line up was not bad batters take 100 balls for a century and even 110 and 120 but abd took only 31 which is crazy this only happens sometimes and in test cricket sometimes he plays knocks like 34(189) means 34 runs for 189 balls but why so slow bc cricket is based on format and conditions if the conditions are good for batting a good batsman will strike everywhere I hope u understood ❤

Hi When he hits it in the air into the crowd that's a 6 when hits it on the ground and it goes past the boundary that's a 4. However when a 6 happens that means ball hasn't touched the ground within the boundary. If he touches the ground within the boundary it is still considered a 4 once it goes over boundary rope.

May I suggest that you react to Rugby Union? It’s similar to American Football, but totally different and it is from where the former game evolved. It’s very physical, very athletic and requires stamina, speed and skill. Oh and the rugby World Cup starts on 8th September in France.
