This is his comeback after serving for 2 years in the military. So he is celebrating finally being back :)

indeed...apparently those 2 years where quite painful from what I gathered in his interview with IU...it's like all music/song/happiness were ripped away from him & his tongue was tied...as what he said in the song....imagine all that energy coming out....this album is so meanigful! JHope was pure magic! So proud of him...also seeing so many bangtan choreos...gives me that sentimental feelz.

@@TeddyGreyOS The Korean population is going down so there is some thought that they may make it mandatory for women too (but idk) Sexism is a taboo topic in Korea with women getting a shit ton of hate I’m pretty sure the reason why it was specifically men was because women are perceived as weak plus they needed people at home when others were in the military (when the law was made) The politics and social issues in Korea are different from the one you or I would be used to so the conversation is completely different Being called a feminist is considered a bad thing/insult in Korea for some inference on the gender equality situation Plus I’m sure a lot of Korean men aren’t too happy about having to go to the military while women don’t have to worry about it lmao

The whole onomatopoeia is jhope’s thangggg man, he does it so much it adds so much to the whole verse. Jhope started as a well known street dancer, and he even won a national title in 2008. So when he raps he’s basically dancing with his voice if that makes sense

j-hope does wordplay with onomatopoeia all the time, both within his verses and as adlibs. It's one of the things he's known for with regard to his lyricism and delivery (the sound effect here is also the actual Korean word for snapping a picture so he just said the word in the way that sounds like the sound--again, pretty common throughout his verses going back all the way to 2012). I don't listen to Stray Kidz but I know Changbin is a fan of j-hope so he might have been inspired to do that sort of stuff by him. We always say that j-hope is one of one--very distinct and identifiable--and that in the next generations of western and korean rap we'll see upcoming artists doing "j-hope flows." He's an innovator and does a lot of stuff that no one else is doing. If you get into more of BTS' discography and his solo work, you'll see it too. He's just different.

CRUSH said he felt like he was stuck in traffic for the last two years while serving in the military. He said music is everything to him. Two days after finishing his military duty he was performing. That is why he rushed to the studio (which he could). He said something to the affect that he had to do this song immediately because that's when it would be the most authentic.

As they mentioned, Crush returned from mandatory military service (18months, that's why they mention 2years usually) so he wants to go home and do what he does: produce, write and sing awesomely. J-Hope said "it's crush hour ("he returned now, it's his time"), imma follow his lead" because Crush is a senior (2y I think) for him (and we already know seniority means a lot in many Asian countries, SK among them).

I like that you can hear JHOPE’s street dance background in his flows. He’s also got great voice control. Gives him a unique rap style. He’s grown so much since his trainee days (Jhope picked up rap later than RM and Suga, having not rapped until he became a trainee.)

Very thankful for J hope honestly because Crush is getting recognized too. Crush is so talented and it would be a shame not to showcase this talent to the world. He’s the man behind the legendary OST of Goblin “Beautiful “. You should check out Crush collabs too like “Bermuda Triangle” and “Make her dance “you’ll be blown, you wouldn’t wanna miss it. And most definitely his songs, he always drops a no skip album.

I'm glad you like this J-hope's collab. I think the vibe of this song is rather similar to his songs on his mixtape "Hope World". I look forward to your next BTS reactions. Ever since BTS announced that they were taking a break from group music last June and would be focusing on solo projects, we ARMY have been enjoying their constant release of new music. J-hope was the first to release his solo album "Jack in the Box" while the rest have been on collabs. Suga collabed with Psy (of "Gangnam Style" fame) on "That That", which he also produced. You've already reacted to RM's collab with Blaming Tiger, "Sexy Nukim". JK collabed with Charlie Puth on "Left and Right", and the vocal line with Benny Blanco and Snoop Dogg on "Bad Decisions", but these last two are pop songs, so I don't know if they would be something you'd like. In addition, Suga has also produced a ring tone for Samsung (a funky little number) and the background track for their online game (a peaceful piece of music), as well as a haunting soundtrack to their webtoon, with the beautiful vocals of Jungkook. Suga is such an amazing and versatile producer. I can't wait to see what he does in his own album, which will be his third solo project, after his mixtapes "Agust D" and "D-2". RM said that his album would probably be next to be released, hopefully by the end of the year, so we're excited about that. This will also be his third solo endeavor, after his mixtapes "RM" and "mono".

I don't need to speak, he killed it, his dance, his voice and his presence are all perfect, this song will hit so hard . I know I'll listen to it a hundred times a day and never get boring 😂 as everyone says " Hoseok never had a bad verse " It seems that they found each other, their style is similar and this passion in music will lift them to a high place So so proud of hoseok and the hard work he did in a very short period of time, he proved himself well , I really can’t wait to see your reaction on more jhope’s song especially base line & 1verse I know you’ll love them

Loved your reaction, this song is just a vibe, & yes it has that Bruno Mars flair to it.. Crush really crushed this, he sounds so good!! and it being his song right after completing his military service so the lyrics IMO could have reference to that, loved JHope's part too and his dance moves are so smooth, he blended well with Crush not over powering but complementing each other. Great collaboration 👌

To see more of jhopes rap abilities and personal style i would recommend his solo stuff like arson and more but also some of the stuff he did with bts like rapline songs as the Cyphers or tear!! His rapping personality changes very much depending on whether he's solo or with bts. The biggest difference is seen now in his solo album he recently released "jack in a box". So to get a better grasp on him as a rapper i feel one has to see both his bts and solo persona :) loved the reaction! I don't know that much about crush but i love this song very much!

You get "hate" when you refer to a senior rapper technique as a "Changbin thing" because, hmm, maybe because they were doing it first? Gee, I wonder why anyone would take umbrage at that...can't imagine. Yes, we get it, Changbin, 3Racha, and Stray Kids are awesome. I love them too. But they definitely got some of their techniques from watching their sunbaes Zico, RM, Suga, and yep, J-Hope.

I refer to it as that because in terms of Korean rap, that is my only reference point… Perhaps people should understand that if they’re coming here for my opinion, they should accept it instead of trying to illicit a change 🤷🏻‍♂️ But I never said J-Hope learnt it from Changbin, I merely made a comparison, so if anybody is hating me for that, I honestly don’t mind.

Maaaan I agree on the Bruno Mars thing but this is definitely inspired by G-Funk and title like Fantastic Voyage by Coolio, I can hear the little funk bass and the rythm is changing with the same funk/rap base ! Of course I can hear that there was more work on the mix than G-Funk but considering the technology progress not surprising, and there is some jazz element to it with a little touch of disco like Bruno Mars so I understand why you thought of him first

Hi teddy. Waiting for this!! And please don't mind immature minds down here it's obvious that you've heard changbin first and not BTS and you could only refer to what you've heard but point is you did it respectfully and people should see that.🤦by leaving stupid hate comments is only making an honest reactor like you to not give a try to BTS like they as creators deserve. And about the song it's a vibe song but didn't really click into me but good vibe like most of songs I've heard from j hope And introduced to crush will check him out now. J hope's style is very very different from whole rap game i would say you can't completely love him (maybe u can if u want to) in this game or dislike him. He does rap like hardcore rapper from song that demand such vibe in BTS and in his recent solo album Jack in the box which is very I mean extremely suprising from him. Which he intended to. Personal opinion his rap style for is like a good vibe one he play with sounding of words like pointed in this video as well. Very very different from RM and Suga He lives up to his name and creates a hopeful bright vibe songs but surprised everyone with the dark and deep style in his latest album. He's a dancer born again as rapper with help of RM and Suga so his style is worth visiting. Omgggggg too long .😅 it's ok to not read. And
