Hello!! Welcome to the Dimash era!!! The first time I heard Dimash I was surprised just like you. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My first songs I heard from Dimash were SOS and Sinful passion. You will be tied up like all of his "dears”. That's what Dimash calls his fans and there are millions of us around the world. Dimash was born into a household of musicians. At age 5 he began training at a music school where he was diagnosed with "absolute pitch." At age 6 he won his first piano competition. He continued his studies and graduated from the University of Classical and Contemporary Music. He has a master's degree in composition and is pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He is a multi-instrumentalist (6), as well as a vocalist and composer. He has ventured into acting, audiovisual direction, dance, advertising modeling (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has won countless awards and honors throughout his career. The most surprising thing is that he is barely 30 years old. He speaks Kazakh (native language),Russian and English and studies Mandarin Chinese. He sings in 14 languages. @@marywebster2488 There are different videos of Dimash playing drums, piano, marimba, dombra, guitar, bayan (Russian accordion), keyboard and of course, the voice instrument. Somewhere in the multiple interviews that I have seen with Dimash, he states that he plays these instruments - and that he would not call himself a multi-instrumentalist. The only instrument that he has trained to a professional level, is his voice.

In the interview that I saw from Moscow in 2020, the interviewer calls him a multi-instrumentalist, and he corrects her saying “that he ‘plays’ multiple instruments, some chords on the guitar, some beats on the drums, also the dombra and keyboards … superficially, not professionally in any way. In order to play very well and be a real instrumentalist one needs to work and study one’s whole life, but I studied (voice).” Dimash definitely plays keyboards and piano better than I (and I studied for about 10 years).

I just discovered your channel and I liked and subscribed hoping for more Dimash reactions😊 Dimash is a 30-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway, but it does happen sometimes😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 15 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. And I absolutely believe this. His recent concerts were in Prague and Düsseldorf (end of November 2024). It was so amazing and it lasts more than 3 hours. I still haven't really arrived in the here and now😅. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, that you've seen the best and that it's impossible for it to get any better, you realize you're so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He is constantly his biggest competitior to get better and better. He is a real perfectionist. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is and likes to try new things. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the French rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. And of course the language is also French. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. His range is over 6 octaves and he has been training his voice since the age of 5 when his parents found out he had perfect pitch. He still trains on the average of 3 hours a day. He sings over 12 different languages and in many styles and generes. You haven't heard of him because he won't sign with any of the big record companies. He wants to sing what he wants to sing and not be told what to sing. Therefore, he is not promoted. He is getting close to finishing his doctorate in music composition. Check out his Wikipedia page and you will be amazed at what this 30 year old has already accomplished, including a metal from the Pope. You got the last name right on the first try. You have yet to hear Dimash's talent. Some of my favorites are The Show Must Go On, Adagio, All By Myself, Unforgettable Day ( he wrote this one at age 19), and The first four he performed in 2017 when he was 22. He was invited to participate in a singing competition in China. He was the youngest, non-professional in the show's history. Ikanaide, Love Is Like A Dream, Sinful Passion, and Stranger are outstanding. Dimash sings in 14 languages, this one was in French, so make sure to use cc's for English translations. DIMASH may be the only singer that sounds the same or better live as recorded. Most singers are a let down when you hear them live but going to just one of his worldwide concerts will prove to you that he is miles ahead of anyone else and is in a totally different rhelm when it comes to music.
