One thing that nobody has mentioned about Dimash is that he is also a wonderful composer. He has composed many songs and arranges the music for ALL of his own performances. He was raised speaking Kazakh and Russian. He has been studying English and Mandarin for two years now. His English pronunciation has improved so much from when he covered Queen’s (Freddy Mercury) song “The Show Must Go On”. That song was performed on the show Singer 2017 when he was but 22 years old. The English pronunciation is not great...but the vocals are incredible! Each of his performances is unique and will cause you to have an “eargasm”...truly! He has been classically trained since he was 5 years old when he was discovered to have absolute pitch (he told everyone that the piano was out of tune). He plays many instruments but his preference for playing is about 8 different ones. He is VERY intelligent (aced all his schooling, won many scholastic awards and graduated college with a first in all subjects) and a musical genius! He is a vocal “beast” on stage...off stage he is very kind, humble, great personality (fun and funny), sometimes shy and loves his fans and calls them his “Dears”. He is very mature for his age. Dimash is an incredible storyteller and perfectly imparts his emotions to us so that there is no doubt in your mind what he is singing about, regardless of the language. He has been raised in a very close knit and loving family. They are all intelligent, loving and very musically talented. Dimash is an incredible young man who loves his family, his music and his country. He said “if you look into my heart you will find music, if you look into my brain you will also find music”. You must investigate all of his performances starting with SOS on Singer 2017 a Chinese TV show for professional singers. He sings this in French it’s original language. He wants to sing all songs he loves in their original languages so he has sung in about 13 or 14 different languages so far. No one in the audience or the other contestants on the show had heard him sing before! The producers told the audience to give him a warm welcome because he was the youngest singer ever on the show and also a foreigner. After that one performance China went wild for him and he became an instant star and was mobbed wherever he went! Dimash was the most surprised of all! Now he is known worldwide and is conquering our ears and hearts one song at a time! He is a “gentle soul” and wishes for peace in the world. That performance is a great introduction to Dimash. He's every bit as amazing as you would think from watching it and kills it time after time. If you watch him blindfolded you'd swear there was a team of singers switching from one to another but that's just Dimash. His vocal skills are beyond anyone else at this point and he can sing all types of music.

It's 6 octaves, so you only heard just under 4 of them in that performance. Most popular singers have a range of 2 to 2.5 octaves so the difficulty of singing that song is 11 on a scale of 1 to 10.

I don't like a lot of things about the Internet and Social Media but I'm more thankful than I can ever express for a lot of things that it has enabled me to access. The MAJOR thing that they have given me in the last few months is DIMASH. I was ignorant regarding him until a few months ago when I nearly fell over hearing him for the first time. I just remember then finding every performance of him that I could find. There were many as I was a few years behind. Watching reactions to him takes up most of my internet cost. As a lot of men & women Dimash moves me to tears, joy and wonder. I love seeing his father in Opera 2. As with most of his dears I am in love with him 0). Dimash is the single singer that has brought men to tears! Women yes we cry easily but men? You have brought the toughest to be in touch with deep emotion. Thank you

i came back to go through all your reactions after i watched your last one (as suggested by YT). i like the way you've built up to include an analysis at the end of the video (i'm here for that!) but your first reaction to dimash was just so priceless. you were instantly under his mind control. your face when he switched voices is basically everyone new to dimash (you were like, wait what *utterly confused face* and you clearly don't trust your ears, so funny omg 😂) followed by a loud HOW at one stage 😂😂. and that's how you know they've been dimashified and that's when i get up dance bc 😂😂😂 the collecting yourself part is interesting here bc you're still so calm. i just cry bc it's the only way to release the tension inside. i can't bear it.

Great reaction! Dimash is the most talented, amazing singer! You have only scratched the surface... he will continue to surprise and amaze you. He sings in many different genres, pop, opera, rock, folk. He also plays many different musical instruments including piano, drums and dombra and sings ( phonetically) in more than 10 different languages. He is fluent in Kazah, his native language and in Russian. React to songs from the Singer 2017 competition. Dimash is from Kazakhstan a former Soviet Union country, he's 24 years old and has a solid 6 octaves range (so far). After his parents (both professional singers) discovered that he has perfect pitch he was classically trained in singing and multiple instruments since age 5. He developed a singing style that is mixing pop music with opera and traditional singing styles and even rap. Welcome to a new style of singing - you are up for a ride!

Dimash, in addition to his wonderful singing and musical abilities you are going to get to know, is also a very interesting character: a straight and kind boy, humble, wise at his age, and he loves people. He was raised in a harmonic family and his parents and grandparents (living together) are also very intelligent, cultivated and kind people. Gloria Wu has a channel with Eng subs for most of Dimash's songs - highly recommended. She also sometimes includes a short backstory on the song or performance that really adds to the full appreciation. Dimash was already popular in his own country when he was invited by China to perform as the wild card in their show The Singer 2017. Singer is a competition between professionals making Dimash the youngest the ever perform there. (22 turning 23). It was Singer that the word got out and by the end of Singer the world was watching the show to see him perform. Fan clubs where everywhere starting in the USA. Each song performed by Dimash was unique and he always has some kind of surprise. We had a couple of reactors that as they watched, would say this is my new favorite on several of the numbers as the series progressed. Imaging going to a country where you cannot speak the language or understand what is being said. His first song was SOS and it is fun to watch the reactions of the audience and the fellow contestants when hearing Dimash the first time. You will enjoy the singer and if you react to it all the way through, you will get to know the wonderful Dimash who went under contract before Singer finished and performed his first award winning concert, Bastau, in his home town in Kazakhstan You listened to a current song where he was invited to sing at the Kremlin, after a performance in Sochi, Russia. He has been invited back and will be performing a concert collaborating with Maestro Igor Krutoy in Feb or March next year. I cannot say enough about Dimash. I am so glad you discovered him. Dimash sings in many languages. In Singer, where he started out, he was even learning English and sang at least a couple of songs in English. His English is so much better now. He will be hitting the states next year. He filmed for a month in Hollywood in some secret project. If it is what we are guessing, we will all know in February, next year. I love Dimash but this song is my least favorite the only thing that's great about this song is DImash. This song was performed in Kremil, Russia which is a very uptight place... Please review S.O.S. and Hello by Dimash. Looking forward to your reactions.

He's a vocal magician with the ability to resonat with your emotional core. He makes grown men cry, older people, (of which I am one) feel lucky to still be around to hear him sing. He leaves vocal professional baffled, speechless and in awe of his brilliance. He is Demash!! A god among men with the voice of a angel. Enjoy.

Man you have no idea what kind of craziness you are getting into.... Run away while you still can!!! :D :D :D If, however, you decide to stay and continue, I would suggest you to start with his "The Singer 2017" songs, especially 1st with "S.O.S." and then 2nd with "Opera 2" - these two make a perfect "one-two punch" introduction to this guy.... after you listen this 2 songs then you can either follow through the other episodes in order or just jump around his performances
