The craziest part about her is not that she fluently speaks 3 languages (Arabic, English, and French), plays 3 instruments (violin, guitar, and piano), or that she has such a wide register, but the fact that she taught herself how to sing and she’s only 22. She wrote this when she was 14 years of age. The woman has pitch perfect voice the last woman to have a pitch perfect voice was Karen Carpenter. Faouzia is phenomenal. Listen to her rendition of Blue by Eiffel 65 and be blown away by how she took that song and made it into something completely different. Listen to Puppet where she quite smoothly turns into pop/hiphop. Or Tears of Gold either version is brilliant. The music industry sucks sometimes this wonderful young lady has a voice that is so unique yet she is not well known. Hopefully that will change I watched her live in London and was mesmerized by her.

Welcoming me to the world of Faouzia ! Pronounced " Foh zee ah " !! Moroccan born and immigrated to Canada at an early age ! She is a singer songwriter and this is one of her originals as most of her songs are ! Plays three instruments , speaks three languages and is just completing her engineering degree at University ! She is the real deal ! A powerfully emotional singer who can sing seamlessly through all her registers ! Just completed her first tour of Europe and North America ! She is not a household name yet but slowly gaining prominence as she continues her career ! I would suggest any of her stripped version songs as they are all so fantastic and original ! Faouzia is a humble, sincere, fun and very passionate about her music ! Her music videos are so different from the stripped versions in they are visually appealing and well produced ! Great reaction! This was one of the first songs that hooked me and sent me down the Faouzia rabbit hole...she has so much more content since this came out but this one is part of her "Stripped" album. There's a "Stripped" live concert and a number of other "Stripped" songs like this (as well as official music videos that are great but don't show off the vocals as well): "How It All Works Out", "Tears of Gold", "You Don't Even Know Me", "Born Without a Heart". I hope you'll do more Faouzia because there's a lot like this to enjoy!
