I think he DOES know what he’s singing…he LEARNS what he’s singing, so he can sing with understanding. You notice prior to his singing for them, he understood better than he could speak. Gabriel’s work ethic is such that I think he learns what he’s saying to give each word the emotion it needs. Understanding words doesn’t mean you can speak them fluently. He puts a ton of work into every song he sings, so that it’s authentic. I once had to perform a role in a play completely in Norwegian - 10 straight pages! It was terrifying, but I had to communicate with emotion, so I learned every word’s meaning. Can’t speak a word of it now, but for the occasion, I was able to release the emotion because I learned what I was saying, before I memorized it. I think that must be what Gabriel does so he can sing with understanding for the necessary connection with his audience and the emotion that connection must carry. Needless to say, he is brave, beautiful and brilliant! How’s that for alliteration?!

Gabriel estava em choque. Não estava entendendo o que falavam..... A jurada falava espanhol, os outros em inglês e o tradutor ficou emocionado e não conseguiu terminar de traduzir tudo e ele perdido, não acreditando, porque no Brasil falamos Português. Ele é um moço muito bom, de bom princípios, família e na verdade a mãe dele é que inscreveu ele e falou para o filho : você vai Gabriel, porque no fundo ele não acreditava que era possível. 🙏🏻❤️

It feels like our boy is stepping out, and we must share him now. I’m so happy for Gabriel to be on stage in front of a huge audience, and broadcast around the world. He certainly deserve it! I think he speaks English a little better than he thinks, but he removes that stress. Sophia was speaking Spanish, there is enough similarity with Portuguese they are able to communicate. Thanks for your wonderful reaction but his name is pronounced EnreeKEY. Simon and he doesn't know how good he is buut those of us who have followed his channel for years have told him of his brilliance for years So he already knows. He's brought us nothing but joy both in English and in Portuguese. The audience will be shocked as he lets loose in the lives with his vocal agility and gymnastics. Sofia admitted afterwards that she knew about Gabriel before the Season started so she wasn't as surprised as she acted. She already knew what he was capable of. Thanks again.
