Lara is arguably the greatest interpreter/storyteller in musical history. "From Lara With Love" is the greatest live concert in contemporary music history. She has one of the greatest voices, if not the greatest, of the last 100 years. Lots of superlatives here, but she deserves them.

Well, we all feel it, my friend. The world has grown so cold, favouring materialistic, egotistic, and basically insane goals and ’values’… and then comes a rare gem like Lara and steps on a stage for the world to see, to be reminded what it means to be a HUMAN. Yes, an artist, yes a master of her vocation, but also a magnificent human being, opening her soul to the world… Opening our souls as a result?

What you were saying towards the end about just snapping... It happens in this song because the whole time it's just building tension. It builds and builds until that final note when everything resolves and the tension breaks. Especially notice her breathing after that final note, the exhale, it's all designed to illicit that emotion. This woman is a master class in performance.

There is no shame in feeling so much from a piece of music and a vocalist that it breaks you. It is not often that we can show our vulnerability to others and know that they are most likely feeling the same thing. It is beautiful that you appreciate her as I do. Someone who reaches down into her very being and gives it all to those who listen and are eager to be touched by this fantastic human being. Very few people deliver as she does with her heart and her soul.

Lara Fabian is the author of the lyrics and the original singer of “Adagio”. Lara wrote this wonderful song in 1998. She wrote two versions of lyrics for this song: one in English and one in Italian. The music of this song is based on the famous “Adagio in G minor of Albinoni” named after Italian composer Tomaso Albinoni (1671 - 1751) which was in fact written by Italian musical historian and composer Remo Giazotto in 1958. It was arranged into a pop song by composers Rick Allison, Dave Pickell and Lara Fabian herself. Her Adagio becomes world famous. I’ve heard many good singers singing Adagio, but in my opinion Lara Fabian sings this great song way better than anyone else and for me her Adagio is unmatched.

What a joy this reaction was! This song is very special, it's a love song to the powers of inspiration, begging for them to not abandon her. This is how deeply she feels about being a songwriter, a conduit. Read the lyrics, and when you listen with this in mind you will feel it at an even deeper level. On top of that, just the sheer genius of building this song on a classical piece of music overwhelms me. I don't know where to find you I don't know how to reach you I hear your voice in the wind I feel you under my skin Within my heart and my soul I wait for you Adagio All of these nights without you All of my dreams surround you I see and I touch your face I fall into your embrace When the time is right I know You'll be in my arms Adagio I close my eyes and I find a way No need for me to pray I've walked so far I've fought so hard Nothing more to explain I know all that remains Is a piano that plays If you know where to find me If you know how to reach me Before this light fades away Before I run out of faith Be the only man to say That you'll hear my heart That you'll give your life Forever you'll stay Don't let this light fade away Don't let me run out of faith Be the only man to say That you believe, make me believe You won't let go Adagio

I have a question. I assume you have a reason for doing this, but why do you show the mirror/reverse image of her singing? For those who are familiar with this performance, it can take a moment to realize that, but it's a bit confusing when the camera pans the guitarist and basist who are now playing a left-handed instruments (not that uncommon), and quite disconcerting to see all the violinists bowing with the wrong hand. It's also a bit dizzying when the blurry background is moving in the opposite way. At least I find it to be. As I said I'm sure you have a reason for doing so. I'm curious as to what that is?
