The songs that were song by MM: "You Made it That Way", (This song was a remake of Marvin Gaye/"Little Darling (I Need You)") (the best song on the album/"You Belong to Me"), "Nothin but a Heartache", "There's a Light" Here is another song by MM its a very soulful song, 2008: "Only God Can Help Me Now"

I'm of that generation that doesn't connect this to a 'sampled' song. Just like the day I was scanning radio stations and stopped on what I thought was an old tune from Joe Cocker called Woman To Woman. Turns out someone stole the riff and put it on something called California Love.
@CatO9lives Жыл бұрын
Like the song that Dolly Parton wrote and sang, "I Will Always Love You", that was released in 1974, later to have Whitney Houston to remake it in her version that was released in 1992. Eighteen years after Dolly's original, caused many people to think that the song was a Whitney Houston origional and many never even heard the Dolly version or that she even was the one that wrote the song. The difference in genre, time, ethnic backgrounds, etc. can cause that. The same with, "I keep Forgettin", by Michael McDonald. He released this song in 1982, and Warren G did a remix with Michael McDonalds original with a mix of his own and Michaels orginal lyrics in 1994. Again many may not have ever heard of Michael Mcdonald and wondered who the white man is in the video. Without him, and his permission, Warren G would not even be allowed to use any of the chords or words to the song due to copyrights.
