NCT Dream used to have a graduation system where once you become of-legal-age in Korea, you graduate to another unit. Mark being the eldest was the first and ONLY member to graduate; and that was the time where boom and ridin came out. They scrapped the graduation system around 2021 and brought back Mark to the group since then.

Answers to your questions: 1. Yes, ur correct, Mark isn't in the BOOM or RIDIN mv bc he left the group during that time. Reason being that Dream used to hv a "graduation" concept where a member would leave once they turn 20 and so MARK left. But as you can see, he returned with the group during Hot Sauce era. Mostly because he wanted to and Dream popularity was sky rocketing during Boom-Ridin era so it wasn't beneficial for SM to make the other original members leave Dream as well 2. Also some scenes in BOOM had 5 members because haechan was doing a tour in the US with 127 and was not able to make it in time for some scenes of the MV. Also Renjun is the one who was hitting those notes in BOOM 3. Something to help, all the J-line in DREAM are rappers, except jisung cause he does both rap and sing. The rest are vocalist Chenle, Haechan and Renjun.

I HIGHLY recommend you react to some of those b-sides like irreplaceable, graduation, bungee, lisgo, dive into you, moon, tangerine love, countdown 321! Besides the brilliant instrumentals the vocals are stunning too with haechan going nuts with with multiple high notes and adlibs in the outro of each song🥺he’s such an incredible vocalist and he really gets to show off in these songs! I think you’d also REALLY like the recording behinds where you can hear the entire process and appreciate the insane amount of work put in! Again the recording room is basically haechan’s vocal playground and he’s always blowing the roof off with his crazy ass vocals so check it out too (at ur own pace of course😅) some recordings I recommend are hello future, graduation, broken melodies, istj just to name a few

I always got tripped up with the 3 Js when I first stanned, i remember now bc Jisung is super tall and lanky with a rounder face, Jaemin has big doe eyes and a more heart shaped face, Jeno has more fierce eyes with a more square jaw. 29:49 - Jeno 29:58 - correct Jaemin 30:04 - Jisung 30:29 - Jeno in center 30:37 - Jaemin w the eyebrow raising 30:42 -Jisung 30:54 Jeno 31:08 Jaemin 31:33 Jaemin 31:41 Jisung 32:11 Jaemin “let’s roll” 32:12 Jisung 32:18 Jeno fast rap Jisung has a deep rich voice, Jaemin has a more high pitched (still p low objectively just in comparison to Jisung and Jeno) rap, and Jeno has a lot of rasp and layers w a deep voice :) Hope this helps !

the reason why mark wasn't in boom and ridin was because of the graduation system. mark 'graduated' from nct dream in 2018 and came back in 2020 when they got rid of the system.

Candy is a remake of an incredibly popular 1st Gen song by H.O.T. who are NCT's seniors at SM. They were one of if not the first idol boy group and they released this as part of their debut album in 1996! The Dreamies were the perfect people to remake it in 2022 and the vibe they hit and the changes they made really suit them. It was part of a special winter album that is so wonderful. Dream has had to be incredibly flexible in their line up for various reasons, performing as 7, 6 or 5 members. As many have explained, Mark was absent for 2 albums until the graduation system was scrapped. Jaemin also missed two early comebacks because of a back injury. And Mark and Haechan sometimes have conflicting schedules in 127 and the other boys do the songs as a group of 5. And their group chemistry and their tightness as a unit has carried them through so many things. (Fans have a tendency to get kinda emotional about it *pointing at myself*) Dream has some of the most interesting and challenging choreo in NCT I think. They work in hoverboards, more floorwork than any other unit, and really cool formations. Watching their dance is so fun, especially My First and Last, We Young (amazing dance practice) , Go and Hello Future.

4:20 Candy is a remake of an old Sm ent group called H.O.T and was released 1996, that's why it has this old feeling to it. SM has a tradition in which all its groups must make at least 1 remake of its older groups songs to immortalize them, for example: Red Velvet (Be natural, milky way, kingdom come, etc), Aespa (Dreams come true and Forever), Nct (Candy and Dunk shot), etc. They also remaked English songs, like sticker from Nct, SHINee's Juliette, Exo's ya ya ya, Aespa's Next level song and so on.

Im probably biased cuz 127 is my fav unit but I'm the opposite I loved every single 127 song first listen(with the exception of Punch me and that song just don't get along lol) but for Dream a couple of songs like ISTJ and Glitch Mode I didn't love right away and im still not the biggest fan of Glitch Mode but then we have all their other song I did love instantly... Now WayV is a different story cuz every single song they have had has just been amazing and I can't wait for you to check them out. NCT U also has nothing but bops too(I wouldn't recommend listening to NCT U songs tho until you know all the members since its a rotational unit)... And then we have NCT DoJaeJung as you've seen made Perfume one of the best songs and best albums! And then the new unit NCT Wish(Japanese unit) I dk much about them but I liked their pre debut song Hands Up and im excited for their debut in February) I just love NCT I mean they are my favorite group for a reason.

When u see a member missing...it usually means someone is injured n cannot dance...Haechan broke his leg once...it cld be this time...n if its dream sometimes mark n haechan will be missing cos they r with 127...😅Dream sometimes promote as 5. NCT DREAM has this graduation system that when they turn 20 in korea (legal age) they will graduate from the group and let other youngsters join in. But after the Ridin comeback SM announced in 2020 that they will be a fix unit abolishing the graduation system. So Mark joined in again after graduating in 2018 cause he is the oldest member. ok so here's an explaination so when nct dream debuted their age range was 14~17 and their concept was when the members turn 19 they gradute(leave) from the group so in 2018 mark turned 19 and left dream(the reason why there where scenes with 5 members on boom is because haechan was busy with nct 127) anyway in 2019 4 members were supposed to gradute 2000 line (renjun,jeno,haechan,jaemin) but they didn't end up graduting because the members and the fans were so sad to the point jisung had a breakdown on stage and if they left dream will end up as a 2 members unit (chenle,jisung) so in 2020 SM removed the graduting system and made mark comeback also in 2016 after dreamies debuted as a 7 member group jaemin injured his back and went in hiatus for 2 years so he came back in 2018 and sadlly he still suffers from his injury so dreamies are really close they all knew each other in this age range 12~16 almost all nct met each other at such a young age nct127 and the hyung line in wayv take really good care of dreamies tel this day they treat them like they're their younger brothers

its okay if u need more time to remember names and faces, when i was first into kpop i had difficulties in recognizing whos who bcs everyones faces look kinda similar to my eyes 😂 for me its a lot easier to get to know them better when i watched their contents like maybe vlogs, or recording/mv behinds, or interviews, bcs i can see, for example, whos the one talking by the subtitles (sometimes they put members names on subtitles, iykwim) so yeah... i kinda get why its hard for you to recognize faces only by their mvs. and even the guide videos didnt really helpful too for me 😂
