There is this italian band called "Deathless Legacy"... it seems to me that the singer got a peculiar way of singing... I suggest the song "Moonless Night" (more on the melodic side) or "ritual of black magic" (more "rock" and maybe more interesting to analyze)... but if you want to make a first time reaction to one of those, try to listen some other song by her\this band... just too see if "her way of singing" could be interesting to analyze ! Thank you for those analysys videos Chris Liepe, very entertaining and with good tips\lessons !

It's also to be noted that rolling R's isn't something that happens in Japanese, actually it's not just incredibly rare, it's an anomaly. When I first heard Ado roll her R's, I was dumbstruck. I'm a Latino so rolling R's is something I've been doing since childhood, she rolls her R's insanely naturally. Anyone who speaks a language like Spanish or other that use this will take note immediately.
@Jeebeo79 ай бұрын
It's not that rare in japanese, it's just situational, it's called "makijita" and it's a speech pattern a stereotypical "delinquet" or "thug?" would have, but it's not that uncommon for someone angry to roll their R's or rowdy kids might say something like "ORRRAA".
@mitrikgaduk3479 ай бұрын
@@Jeebeo7 Yeah, I've heard in those connotations, but never to the degree that Ado does it, there's a certain "force" and "ruh ruh ruh" (like the tongue slapping around if you know the sound, like mimicing a helicopter blade, it's almost "puffy") sound that she makes, that I feel is very faint in many of those cases I've heard. I've heard LiSA do it in the documentary when she's practicing, but the "popping" or "puff" noise is a lot less pronounced than when Ado does it. It's also the way she incorporates it that I solemnly hear in Japanese music. I've heard a range large quantity of musical styles from Japan, some of the biggest names around, and Ado is the only I've heard to get the "roll" "rolling" if you understand. (Like, there's the "airy" roll, there's the "pitch bend roll", and the "fast roll" where the distinction between the rolls is very little, which is commonly when you hear with the "ORRRA", it's usually a very quick roll with very little "staccato".) A perfect example is in "Show", the "rrra-ta-ta-ta-taaa", the initial "rrra" roll, you can hear the staccato of it, there's a delay between each roll, but there's enough force that each hit pops. An example of the "ORRRA" style roll is at 0:58-0:59 of the song, it's more faster, less "pops". This is the more common one you hear.

An interesting thing, Chris will also be interested, they told me that they tried to make covers of Ado’s songs using AI. But it didn’t work, it doesn’t sound. We are entering the era of artificial intelligence, and if a singer does not want to be surpassed by AI, he needs to master many extreme techniques, introduce emotions, dynamics and tonality. Ado's style was also developed in overcoming vocal synthesizers. We need to free ourselves from traditional patterns.

Time for her new song Value. It's a totally different vibe and in a good way. You'd most definitely love it. As for Tot Musica, it's definitely one of my favourite Ado songs. It's a deadly combo to begin with. The composer is well known for several of his works in the anime industry and literally all of the projects he contributed to are known to have amazing musical performances. Especially so with this "epic" and even sinister vibe this song also had. Add Ado to the equation and you just know it's gonna turn out amazing without fail.

I do understand that vocalists really need to develope confidence more than any other musician. After all their instrument is literally their own body. As an electric guitarist I can somewhat relate. Many sounds can be perceived as goofy, stupid, ugly, dirty and completely useless when out of context and not placed into a harmony. Even some of the best guitar tones created by some of the greatest guitar heroes can sound unpleasant in isolation. But once you actually experiment with them on a backing track all the dirt gets lost and the beauty of electric guitar starts to manifest. Whenever Chris tries to copy some of Ado's techniques for the purpose of demonstration it may come off as funny but I can guarantee that every little goofy exaggerated soundbit he creates with his voice would sound phenomenal in the right context and situation.

This song was made by a famous composer named Hiroyuki Sawano, who worked on the BGM of the anime Attack on Titan when the darkness fell. His songs are characterized by a profound, speedy and dynamic sound, and a fleeting sound using stringed and wind instruments. The two songs I recommended are bright songs. The Feeling Lullaby was written by a rapper named Totham Hutt, and unbelievably written by a band called Mrs. Green Apple✨She didn't make my own song, but it was original. I did.
