I am so glad that you had the chance to ride western! I usually ride my lease horse western, but recently I have also been riding him english and I have seen a big difference in him. He loves the chance to try both disciplines, and he loves to game in western and loves to jump and do some basic dressage exercises in his English tack! Both disciplines are so important and bring different characteristics to your horses. All horses and riders should have the chance to experience both western and English riders!

Welcome to America! You were about 200miles from my home, and I LOOOOVVVVED this. He was so fun to watch. I understand western horses. And his ears were so expressive. Clayton: Isn’t she funny? Wait! She CAN ride...but her touch is soooooo different.......?

I ride western and there’s actually other things to western like the flank strap is a back cinch, there’s a crop that goes around the tail, the rains can be joined they don’t have to be split, you don’t have to ride one handed. For neck reigning it’s mostly the legs moving the horse not the reigns.I’m not trying to be a know it all but I have studied this and road this style.
