Mo on a more serious note, I am honestly thinking about quitting smash legends. Here are my list of complaints as a f2p : There doesn’t feel like enough opportunities to unlock new characters, the boxes have god awful drop rates, The amount of hero shards you get from each box feels insignificant to contributing to leveling the hero up. The hero drop rates themselves are ridiculously, low. If we are going off the assumption that the rarity of a box has twice the chance of dropping a hero than the box before that rarity, You have roughly a 0.5 percent chance to get master cat from a regular box (A regular box is the orange box that you earn tokens from matches to open, the regular box is also the box all f2p players rely on in order to get new heroes.)Assuming that you can get 2 regular boxes open per day (Most people don’t get 3 open unless they play extensively or they have a doubler) and you get 1 box from the pass every few days, you would have to play a little bit under 190 days in order to get master cat. 190 days. I’m going to make a comparison to brawl stars here. Getting an epic brawler in brawl stars also has a 0.5 percent chance drop rate. However, before you argue that the time it takes to get an epic brawler in brawl stars is the same amount of time, consider that Brawl Stars has a 70 tier battle pass that can be completely within a month if you do quests for about 15 minutes every day. Now inside this pass, there aren’t only “regular boxes” there are also big boxes and mega boxes which offer not only more draws but also offer more material gain (A mega box has 10 times as many items as a regular box and can be obtained every 10 tiers) On top of all of that, the drop rates for epics aren’t based off each box like smash legends is, they are based off each draw you do. If a mega box is opened with 5 drops, you have 5 chances to get the epic brawler. This means that even though you are doing the same amount of work to open a regular box in both games, Brawl Stars has twice the drop rates for brawlers in a regular box. Back to my original point on the point earlier, you might ask : Well yeah the brawl pass seems good but you can’t get it as a F2p right? Wrong. The brawl pass costs 169 gems and the free part of it gives you 90 gems each season (Even the premium side doesn’t give you gems). This means you can get the premium side of the brawl pass along with the regular side every other season. Even if you do want to spend money to get the brawl pass instead of waiting for 2 seasons (4 Months) it costs 10 dollars for 140 rewards. Smash legends on the other hand has only 40 or so tiers and is locked behind a 15 dollar paywall (I didn’t mention this earlier but the premium side of the brawl pass gives 2 skins and the newest hero of the season for free). When playing smash legends regularly I noticed something slightly shocking. The free side of the pass in your game barely gives you any rewards. One tier involves “coins” and contains 30 of them, I checked a regular box and surprise surprise, you also get 25-30 coins from a regular box too. One way I believe you could bring back more players to the game is by doing a F2P series. Considering you are the main content creator for the game, many players will go and watch your videos. -Shang
