First time trapping Minnesota Crayfish!

Use the claws to flavor fish chowder, they can be forzen then just crush them and put them in a some cheese cloth, it really makes fish soup an chowders really tasty.

Befor you cook them , pull the center fin out of tail . it will pull the poop vien out .

I like old babe but I'll take Creole seasoning all day. It's also gives duck gizzards a great flavor and kick

I just recently bought the Cajun seasoning "cajun 2 step". Highly recommend! Less salty than others and more flavor

Use better bait ,you will get way more . sucker, trout scraps, salmonheads if you can find them cheap . And just to let you know if you are catching rusty crayfish you cant not release them back . they are an invasive .

Thanks for the tips! And don't worry, I read the MN DNR regulations up and down then emailed them to make sure I am in the right. Gotta stay on the right side of the DNR 😉

Mine were in North Branch, and I just stumbled across them being in the creek lol. Ive had REALLY good luck on Lake Vermilion

some lakes just have more than others . but bait can make a big difference@@SpicedUpOutdoors
