Ask any chef and they will tell you the tongue is actually the part of the cow that taste the most beefy. It’s like all the concentrated flavors are in the tongue and it’s so tender when it’s cooked properly. I’m glad you put yourself out there to try it I know sometimes it’s hard to get past the childhood trauma of how things look. I haven’t finished watching yet. I hope to see that you enjoyed them but good for you for putting yourself out there to try it.

First time I tried beef tongue, I had no idea and it was in Japan believe it or not. It was a beef tongue stew and I thought it was so damn good I asked my friend what part of beef it was cause it was so tender and so much beef flavour. She told it was the mother effin TONGUE! Funny thing about that song Yummy Yummy I got love in my tummy, my uncle had me and my siblings along with my cousins believing that he wrote that song he’d sit with his guitar and sing it I was literally 19 years old and I was driving when the song played on the radio and I was literally heartbroken I had told my friends about the cutest song my uncle wrote as a child. I’m also not big on gamey meats. But lengua is something that I can tolerate. My mom would cook this growing up and she will add a bunch of seasonings, onions and garlic to cut that gamey flavor.
