What’s really fun is to hear the clang clang clang of coins dropping, and then, they have to come over and refill it with coins because you emptied it.. 😊

One of my favorite casinos. The El Cortez. Went there in my twenties with my Mom, dad, and relatives at Christmas time in the early 90’s. Good times. I need to visit there again. Thanks for the memories. 😊

Remembering when i won 80 $5.00 tokens at Harrah A.C. Walked around shaking those coins & people looked at them asking what they were. When Borgota came in all TITO, around 2003, everyone had to do the same to keeptheir costs in line. Fun times. Thanks for posting.

Stefan, my wife and I always frequent the El Cortez on Fremont Street. It’s the oldest Casino in Las Vegas. The restaurant at the El Cortex is excellent! They have a great corned beef sandwich. The first time I visited the El Cortez, I signed up for a Player’s Card and won a $1500.00 Hand pay Jackpot on an Old School single line 5 times machine! The only drawback is that the El Cortez does not have a pool. Also try The Golden Nugget and The Four Queens. Lots of Old School slots!

Nice variety of slots played on Freemont OS. I guess you had to wash your hands after collecting all those coins you put in the bucket. I remember that too well, lol. Lucky Top Dollar was feeling a little generous today! Cheers! 😘🍀🍀🍀🌹

“Those bring back some old Childhood Memories”. “I had to be around 15-years old, and I was on a cruise with my family and friends”. “Back then sometimes near the entrances and exits of the casino’s they would post up a few slot machines there. Being 15-Year’s Old and not of age to go into the casinos and play, most of the Slot-Machine’s were technically not in the casino, but lingering outside like an End-Cap in a grocery store”. “So we would gather up some quarters, every now and then, and a couple of us would walk up to the slot machines swiftly and throw a bunch of quarters in. While the rest of us would stay on lookout”. “The plan was not to get rich, it was just a win a few Roll’s of $20 in Quarter’s. So that way, we could take all the Quarter’s and run to the arcade and play for hours end”. Lot’s-of-Fun‼️

Goes to show there's no substitute for actual tokens klinking and clanking. The tokens, the coin buckets--true old-school slot action! 😁 Hopefully the Fremont Hotel & Casino will allow you to film pit game action there--they still deal their double deck Blackjack game as a pitch game as do all other Boyd Gaming properties.

Ahhhh... Fremont Street. Used to trek up there to spend a day on my then frequent trips to Vegas. Seems a lot of older machines found their way there and it was a lot of fun playing them. Managed a small collection of 40 or so silver strikes as well. A number of them are from long gone casinos like the Sands, Sahara and such. Really should have them appraised some day, as I recall a few were considered rare and worth a nice premium. Thanks for some memories.

Yeah only bout 7-8 years ago if you had some good pays the tray at the bottom would be overflowing with $1 coins. Would have to start getting cups aand scooping and stacking until the machine would run out, then theyd come over with the old oil bottle and funnel and keep pouring more dollars in. Not as dirty as the 10 and 20 cent machines-black hands.
