I went to Paris on a school trip and they let the student vote on places to go and the catacombs won the vote. I was so happy that when we finally got to Paris the catacombs were flooded or something and we couldn’t go in 😂😂. I was literally jumping with joy that it was closed

The original title of the first Harry Potter book was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It was changed to "Sorcerer's Stone" for the American audience because they didn't think Americans were smart enough to know what a philosopher's stone was. Spoiler Alert: In the end, we allegedly saw them escape, but did they? Some say that because they went further down to exit, they actually entered another world. It looks like Paris but could be some sort of parallel universe.

Ah I love this film! The movie was adapted from Danté’s Inferno, as they went through the 7 circles of hell. Such a good adaptation and how if they didn’t repent for their sins, they died. The car on fire was the one for me boo! *sorry, 9 circles 😅👍🏽

Once again, I'm hurting from laughing too much. Thanks ZZAVID I've from paris, born and bred. I've never put one foot into the catacombes and never will. My older sister went once and almost got lost. It's real easy to get lost there, there are well over 100 miles of tunnels and its spread all over Paris, with secret entrances all over. But its very commun, people got all the time, especially teenagers and young people to party. But there's only a small part of it that's actually open for people, with guided visit and everything. The most of it is closed off because it's unsafe (it's centuries old, some parts go really deep) and yes weird shit happens down there, people disappear or ends up in psy wards. Btw the hot french guy that dies in the burning car is François Civil, yes he's gorge.

The way Laptop said "I thought this was the way too" stood out to me it took a few watches to realize, when he was alive, this is the route he took and ended up dying. Slick wish we saw his body so they could have that "oh shit we've been following a dead guy" moment but I guess him bashing in Mitsubishi's face is a good indicator. Also, I hate the fact that they used the stone on this woman's little ass scratch maybe they could have used the one time stone to bring her back to life if they hadn't wasted it. The only people who deserved to live were George because he literally did nothing wrong and MAYBE Souxie and Benji, but it's implied that they've done terrible things. Like Souxie was v-iolently m-urdered because she may have done the same thing and Benji may have k-illed his previous partner and child. I think he harmed them because Zed has a child he doesn't claim but still lived so it doesn't make sense that Benji would die just for abandoning them.

The album I'm working on is inspired by Dante's Inferno and I'm a spiritual person and this film is one of my favorite films because of how the terror is abstract but there is context for all of it and it's Hell. But just as the original work itself is a commentary on the times in which it was written (and the influence of philosphers, mythology, superstition and religion in society), my album is also a commentary on the socio-political landscale in the Western world and the absurdity of it all as well as other things! :) That said, each song or two will be a nod to each circle of Hell and it's meanings and how they might apply to the modern world in relation to politics/society/etc especially post-pandemic lol

I loved this movie but it didn’t end the way I thought it was going too. I thought Scarlet died in the Middle East when the caves were bombed and all of the Paris adventure was actually her Hell dream. I thought Benji actually died in the Turkish prison he was talking about and this is her punishment for getting him killed. It didn’t play out that way, but I loved this movie. It was so different and original! Great reaction!

I'm barely at the begining of the reaction but I wanted to say that I *love* the fact David has this consistancy in his editing and cuts and sound effects, while also still managing to improve the quality of his overall recordings and crafts. For example I love rewatching the Haunting of Hill House and Umbrella Academy S1 reactions? Kind of "old-ish" reactions right, in terms of material, settings, they were filmed differently... Well, it does even feel that old to rewatch. Even through the evolution and upgrades of quality, you remain *you* in the way you craft your reactions and edit them. It flows so easily, it's so easy to watch older reactions and come back to new ones. Like the soul and the signature are still here 100% regardless. I don't know where I'm going with this but it is there. So, I guess thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

I saw this film years ago with my brother and it still gets me chills, I really was looking forward for your reaction luv💜. Fun fact, this film was based on a video back in time of a man running away from something (which was rumoured to be the devil) in the catacombs.

You are genuinely a comfort channel. You also know that horror is THE film and show genre. I don’t read enough horror fiction, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just the best genre overall. I love love love horror films (it’s a sibling tradition) but I hate gore and can’t always trust a film to leave it out, so it’s fun for me to watch it safely through you. You also keep tempting me to watch that Meryl Streep film where the women are immortal or something!

this is one of my favorite fun horror movies. spooky paris, mythology about the philosophers stone, claustrophobia, the idea of the seven circles of hell a la dantes inferno, just everything!

Zzavid so so happy you reacted to this movie it is one of my hubby and my fave horror movies. Were actually going to Paris in October of 2023 and were visiting the Catacombs where As above so below was filmed not gonna lie nervous but its got so much history and cannot wait to visit it.
