Scott's reunion with Cassie is bittersweet. It's nice that she didn't get snapped away and he found her, but in Ant Man, his big regret was that he'd missed so much of her life while he was in prison, and his big fear was to go back to prison and lose more time of her growing up. And now he lost 5 years of her life again.

"The Planck scale" is the point at which the effects of quantum gravity can no longer be ignored in other fundamental interactions, where current calculations and approaches begin to break down, and a means to take account of its impact is necessary. "The Deutsch proposition" regarding Quantum Mechanics of Time and Multiverse presents a unique perspective on the nature of reality and its underlying principles. It suggests that time is not absolute but emerges as a consequence of quantum processes occurring across multiple universes in the multiverse landscape. "How to do time travel in real life?" "Time travel via speed" This is the easiest and most practical way to time travel into the far future - go really fast. According to Einstein's theory of special relativity, when you travel at speeds approaching the speed of light, time slows down for you relative to the outside world.
@JaggerG9 ай бұрын
@@Anakin_554I've gotten the impression that acceleration is a vector of speed, so if you're ever able to get propelled enough to exceed the break point to going back in time, you inherently pass through the point that time stops for you. As a result, your means of propulsion ceases, and you can then only lose speed. Is that the gist of it? Or are there other reasons? Seems fuel efficient to go so fast, I guess, since it barely has any relative time to burn. But still kind of a bummer there's a speed cap.

To explain the whole time travel aspect of the film and how it works in the MCU. When you travel back in time you create an alternate timeline. So whatever changes made will have zero effect on the present. So in theory you could kill Thano's when he's a baby but once you return to the present day MCU nothing would've changed. You would've just created an alternate timeline where Thano's never came to power but this doesn't re-write the existing history of the Mainline MCU. Think of the Mainline MCU timeline as a Trunk of a tree. Every time The Avengers went back in time they created a new branch, a divergence in the timeline. Like in 2012 when Loki escaped, Captain America finding out that Bucky is alive, and of course Captain America saying Hail Hydra to the undercover Hydra Shield agents. This would've greatly changed events going forward in the Thor films and Captain America: The Winter Solider. We also have the alternate 2014 where the Thanos, Nebula, and Gamora come from in this film, not to mention Thanos army and generals. 2014 Nebula along with Thanos and his army all die leaving a 2014 timeline without a Thano's pretty much changing the Guardians of the Galaxy films and the whole Infinity War Saga. In the comics though Marvel does have alot of differant rules involving time travel depending on the device used. There's examples of Marvel comics changing events such as Days of Future and the original Age of Ultron comic book but these "possible future" are always seen as divergence timelines.
@SgtHookhead99109 ай бұрын
I always wondered what happens in the 2014 timeline that Thanos, his daughters, and army leave behind. Because though Cap returns all the Infinity Stones, including 2014, Thanos & co. vanish from that timeline. And we later learn, that was "allowed" and it was "supposed to happen" according to a certain "Authority".

Such a great movie, an achievement in collective storytelling and an awesome cap to a decade of movies. One of my favorite interpretations of the original six Avengers at the beginning of the movie is that Steve represents a councilor and the other five are in the five layers of grief. Nat is in denial, she’s acting as the head of the team, trying to keep another Thanos level event from happening, but also pretending like of she’s vigilant enough, she can make up for the loss. Clint is angry, taking the loss of his family out on the criminals who survived, trying to funnel his rage into something useful. Banner has bargained with Hulk and become Smart Hulk. He’s stopped fighting the monster and found the path between, his own failure to stop Thanos as both Hulk and Banner finally forcing him to confront his condition in a less aggressive way. Thor is exceptionally depressed, he doesn’t even want to hear Thanos’ name and is spending his days drinking and eating himself into the shape he’s gotten into in the subsequent five years. Tony has reached acceptance, marrying Pepper and raising Morgan. He isn’t (at first) concerned with trying to fix the problem because the problem cannot be solved without a breakthrough. And finally Steve is trying to bring people back together and face the demons of the past, even though his aren’t quite settled either. He still misses Peggy and has never let her go, yet he still tries to get people to move on themselves. It’s a theory that has holes, but it’s a fun skeleton to start from.

There are several time travel models, because no one knows how it works. For example, in back to the future, when you change something in the past, you change the future. Theres only 1 timeline which you travel back and forth. The original gets "erased" when you make a change. In Harry Potter, everthing that happened will always happen. Means when you time travel and "make a change", it had already happened. You just didnt know it had happened. In MCU, every change you make, creates a branched timeline. Hence, Tony created the GPS so they can navigate back to their original timeline. The timeline branches evertime they take a stone, creating diverging rivers.

David Deutsch proposed a multi-universe or many-worlds theory as an answer to the grandfather paradox. His many-worlds is similar to the multiverse that Marvel uses. But he never had a "proposition", that's just wording by the writers. What's technically real is 'David Deutsch’s ‘Many-Worlds Theory and Multiverse Theory’ ' but that's too wordy, so they shortened it in the movie to Deutch Proposition. Tony is taking about this as something that gets "triggered" which fits with the Loki series and the TVA, but David Deutsch never proposed traveling through time as such, so it's not exactly the same, but referencing Mr. Deutsch is still a nice touch.

I can't wait to watch this and I want to tell you a little bit about what this movie means to me. When it came out we were all blown away because it's such a powerful superhero movie. But then, just a few months later, it took on a whole new meaning. In July of 2020 I lost my father. At the same time, the world was locked down due to the pandemic. Things were very dark during those months. Everything felt hopeless to me (and I think for many others). When this movie was released digitally and we watched it again, it was incredible how the world felt like that wasteland we see after the "five years later" time-skip. Everyone was feeling hopeless and grim, trying to find a way to cope. But then what follows (in the movie) is this incredible adventure of resilience, sacrifice and redemption. It kind of made it easier for me to see the "light at the end of the tunnel"... not that I think Captain America would save us but this idea that good things can still happen, we can still turn things around, we can make it through. Life can be normal again. And that's what this movie means for me now. It helped me out of a very dark place. Maybe this is silly but that's how I still feel today. I really hope you enjoyed it.

Cristy, one of the key points of Endgame is that time travel works differently than from most other movies people have seen. In Endgame, time travelers going into the past can't change the timelines they originated from- everything that already happened cannot be changed. Instead, going back and altering events creates new timelines branches, new futures where things can go differently. So me going back in time and killing baby Hitler would create a NEW timeline from that point forward. So in that new timeline the events of WW2 that I know never occur, but in my original timeline nothing changes. All of that history is part of what led to me time traveling in the first place.

Yay for Cristy FINALLY getting here! 😛 The opening scene with Clint at homer just ripped my heart out. That was so awful and so devastating. But it was used to include his Ronin storyline, which made me happy. And his "Don't give me hope." shows just how broken he is. Heartbreaking and so well portrayed by Renner. I hate what they did with Captain Marvel. I loved Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel in the comics from the 70s that I read as a kid. She was a great character. Unfortunately MCU Captain Marvel got wedged into the storyline at the last minute in the worst way possible. They never really made her a character but instead just use her as the two-dimensional deus ex machina cheat code to fix any problems. While Wanda was the most powerful in the MCU she wasn't used as a cheat code and instead had her own frailties and foibles that made her a relatable human being with limitations, even if they were often self inflicted. Captain Marvel is a caricature of the over the top superhero with no real personality or emotional impact, and that's just awful writing. Scott's reunion with Cassie was amazingly wonderful. So nice to see a reunion that hurt for the best reasons. They both played that so well too. Happy to see smiling Cristy. Too bad it's not gonna last. 😞

Right now I think dating sucks because there is simply too much access... it's too easy to connect, there's too much temptation, and it's coming in from every angle at all times (for women and notably handsome men). And I think that's why so few people approach dating with genuine intent (outside of hooking up). Because they know if worse come to worst, they can hop back on a dating app or back in their DM's and find a replacement that's just as vapid, unfulfilling, and temporary as whatever they just left. So while I dislike how things are, I get why things are that way. But with half as many people, connecting would take more work, and that might make people cherish what and who they do find when and/or if they do a bit more.

If you go back in time, the past changes due to you being present, so it creates an alternate timeline, while the original timeline stays the same. This way, paradoxes can’t happen.

Half a glass of wine? You could have gone with half a bottle. Also so many people either make fun of or are angered by Thor's condition, kudos for recognizing his depression.

🍍 🥓 🍕 The sky is blue because different colors of light have different wavelengths. The sky also changes color but technically it's always clear. The color of the sky depends on your location on Earth compared to where the sun is throughout the day. And foxes make all kinds of sounds. 🌠

After kind of messing up on Iron Man one, they've been double cheking their tech talk. So while time travel is obviously science fiction, the foundational Technobabble should be correct.
