It's amazing how many things Back To The Future 2 actually did get right about life in 2015; drones, hoverboards, entirely CGI films, pointless sequels, 80s nostalgia, smart phones, fingerprint identification, flat screen tvs, watching multiple channels on 1 tv at once, face time calling, robot servers at restaurants, self tieing shows (though they only exist because of this film), A.I. in machines, & The Chicago Cubs winning The World Series (although, they were 1 year off with that 1).

Love how people constantly bring these things up to fit their narrative. Most of these things were shown in other movies, mostly sci-fi, long before Back to the Future came out yet people are so desperate to say this movie predicted everything ever made.

@@moondog3056 I think the impressive aspect has to do with how closely accurate things ended up being in/by 2015, specifically. Sure, a bunch of movies depicted many of these concepts before BTTF, but they didn't pin it down to a year necessarily, and if they did it wasn't always as accurate.

If I’m lying I’m dying , this was my favorite movie growing up had it on dvd ,when I was in 8th grade the day October 21,2015 I was outside playing color tag with my friends and out of nowhere start pouring down rain we all ran in the house laughing because we were soaked etc my last friend ran in the house screaming what time is it what time is it and it was 4:15 ! We all start being in Awe because a few mins later it stopped raining ❤🎉I’ll never forget that 😂

11:44 You remember part 1, when Marty was up on stage and the new timeline was catching up with his birth, and he did not _exist_ in the new timeline, so he was disappearing? Something like that is happening to Biff, here. I once had this movie on DVD. It had the option to watch deleted scenes and these included one where, the moment the DeLorean disappears, back into the past, with all our heroes on board, Biff cries out in pain, lies down on the ground, and vanishes in the exact same fashion. They ended up cutting this scene because it kept confusing test audiences. But the DVD also provided me with the option to watch this scene with the director's commentary, and there, they explained that the monster Biff became in 1955 when he got the almanac from 2015, who had this characteristic fondness for pushing Lorraine, somewhere between 1985 and 2015, pushed her too far and she shot him. His timeline did not continue to 2015. That's why he disappeared.

1. It's not often sequels hold up to the original, but this does. Thank you 1980s. 2.This one is the best of the bunch. The next one is inventive but I'm not really into the story. That said, it is the perfect wrap. 3. The stunt woman that flew into the glass window partially missed and injured her arm. 4. Michael J. Fox also played Marty's daughter. 5. Sammy Hagar, "I can't drive 55"😎 6. Good thing Biff shoots like a Star Wars Stormtrooper🤣 7. The tunnel at the end is the same one they used for Tune Town in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit

2. I'm in the opposite camp. Part 2 is fun, but way too hectic and the story is too thin. Part 3 is my favorite; it slows thongs down just a little, and has the most engaging story of the three. Plus, it has Mary Steenbergen, who was great in the 1979 time travel film, "Time After Time."

Great reaction Liala like always, this one is amazing this might be my favorite trilogy of all time so I love seeing how much you love it! I can't WAIT for you to see Part III. There are some fun facts about this one. This movie was filmed back-to-back with Part III. If you notice they replaced the actress who played Jennifer Parker, Claudia Wells in the original Back to the future, but had to pull out of appearing in Part II after her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Elizabeth Shue was cast in the role instead and even re-shot the final scene of the first film, so it could be ‘replayed’ at the beginning of the second. This was Elijah Wood in his very first film role, Wood’s role, as an awed child by the arcade cabinet playing that game with pistols, Crispin Glover who portrais Mcfly Sr in the first one did not apper on this one. According to Glover, he discovered that he was offered far less to reprise his role in any given sequel than Lea Thompson for a similarly sized role, Glover’s agents demanded a higher fee and script approval, and Bob Gale responded by offering even less money than before. As a result, Glover pulled out of the sequel as was replaced by Jeffrey Weissman in heavy prosthetics. This is partly why George McFly is almost always shot in the dark, from behind, or upside-down. One of the more memorable gags about the future occurs when Marty is assailed by a holographic shark outside the cinema (or ‘Holomax’). The Jaws films, in spite of the critically panned Jaws 3-D and Jaws 4, are still going strong in the fictional 2015, marking the nineteenth entry in the franchise. Jaws 19 is directed by Max Spielberg, son of the legendary director. Max was born in June 1985, the ‘present’ era of the trilogy. Actors playing themselves is nothing new - and it wasn’t new in 1989, either. However, this was mostly achieved with clever camerawork and body doubles. Back to the Future Part II broke the mould by using a VFX trick that allowed the same actor to feature twice in the same frame: the ‘Vista Glide.’ As usual, necessity is the mother of invention. Given the number of times characters interact with their past selves, or alternate future selves, or narrowly avoid continuum-obliterating paradoxes, exactly this technique was needed. There are a genuine stunt injury in this film in the hoverboard chase. Due to a technical difficulty with the wires suspending the actors, Cheryl Wheeler-Duncan - the stunt double for Darlene Vogel’s Spike veers off-course and slams into the concrete pillar next to the glass. Ouch! She then falls 30 feet on to the concrete below. Evidently Zemeckis saw a silver lining in this on-set mishap, as that take is the one we see in the film. Keep up the good work.

Biff as Trump always gets me. Yes... that was supposed to be him as a Trump analogue. People forget, but I believe it was right there on the Director's commentary when this went to DVD as a box set. The part you DIDN'T watch was shown in the theaters as part of the movie. The people who told you not to watch don't know what they're talking about. It's a teaser for Part 3, but one they expected the viewers of Part 2 to see.

@@pietergreveling which one? The clock tower is in all the films and in 3, like the rest it's kind of a character which has very little to do with the actual plot but is a constant in the story. If it's the scene which most people talk about in the teaser it's because they're working backwards after seeing the film. If it spoiled the film for anyone then they must have some real intuition about what's to come. My point being too many people keep telling others "DON'T" watch it rather than just saying "there's I trailer for the next one... If you don't want to see it."

This movie actually had a massive effect on Hollywood in regards to how actors' likenesses can be used. Crispin Glover, who played George McFly, was upset with the previous film's ending and how it seems to imply that wealth is required for happiness in one's life. He refused to return for Part 2 and 3, so they had to either write around George's absence, hire body doubles, or utilize pre-existing footage from the first movie. Glover was outraged over the unauthorized use of his likeness without any compensation for it, filed a lawsuit, and won. This ended up setting a precedent within the filmmaking industry, and now studios need to have legal permission from actors whenever their likeness is used for a production.

Most people don't actually notice it, but Christopher Lloyd did wear a thin layer of prosthetic make-up in the 1985 scenes of the first movie to make Doc Brown look older than he does in 1955. So to avoid the need to wear that prosthetic make-up through all of Part 2, they make it that Doc got a rejuvenation procedure in the future to make himself look younger and had Doc pull off the prosthetics to reveal his younger appearance.

An interesting thing I read is how doc saves Marty's life a couple times in this movie. It implies that in alternate timelines Marty actually dies when he jumps off the roof and at the end of the tunnel. Doc has no reason to be at either of them unless he knew to be there after reading about him dying there.

Bullshit. 1) Time travelers are aware of changes to the timeline, and neither Doc nor Marty notice anything. 😅 2) Also, for your theory to work, the change would have had to happen between the end of the last movie and this one, somewhere in between the one scene that is repeated twice. 😂 Sure, it's a different actress for very real, very sad, real life issues, but in the movie universe she's supposed to be the same.
