Also, so you know.. The wizard from this movie, is the same wizard in the the Shazam movie. Plus, if you've seen that movie. You'll remember a part where the wizard said, "he once put his faith in another to be the champion, but he was wrong." That previous champion was actually Black Adam, since both Black Adam and Shazam share the same symbol. The only difference between the two is one is more an anti-hero, the other is a hero.

Thing is that wizards didn't put faith in a wrong person, they gave power to Harrun and he saved his father with the power but then got killed. If he had survived the father (Black Adam) would have probably returned the power to his son Hurrut and he would continue being the champion. Wizards never selected Black Adam and they never gave him powers directly.

The Rock literally brought him back and said that it was wrong to just treat an actor like that after he portrayed the role in such an iconic way. And for that defiance against the major studio they punished Rock and Cavill by banning the entire project and rebooting it all.. To be honest it was the studio who had the big ego - Rock was right to give Black Adam his own story instead of making him just another side character villain - and to put him against Superman first before Shazam was a boss move that would have gotten comic fans around the world enthusiastic. But yeah they had to punish and shame the Rock for overstepping his role as "just an actor". This movie was solid and couldve literally changed the power dynamic of the DC universe if they woulda let Dwayne and Cavill rock it out.. It really seems as if most of you guys are just parroting bs you read on the internet without actually checking the facts.

Basically Black Adam was Shazam's (the old wizard guy) previous champion before Billy Batson/Captain Marvel/Shazam. Classic story of old student abuses powers which leads the master to exile/imprison the older student and choose a new student to replace them. However, usually after Shazam and Black Adam fight, Adam ends up becoming more of an anti-hero like Venom does with Spider-Man. Also, the Justice Society is usually a predecessor team to the Justice League that formed decades before the JL, however for the DCEU, the JSA (Justice Society of America) is just the US Government's (mostly Amanda Waller and ARGUS) personal Justice League team, since the Justice League doesn't actually answer to anyone.

The only thing that they made a mistake was when BlackAdam says SHAZAM and transforms back. When he turns back, he will immediately die or turn into dust because it’s been 5000yrs and the body is no longer alive. That’s why BlackAdam remains in the shazam form and never says the name. Not sure about the new version now but the OG version, yes.

The thing with Superman is that a LOT of people who barely/never read the comics don't know the ceiling of his power. In a what if scenario where both characters are at full power (having all the benefits they need to themselves), Superman wins no doubt and it's not even close xD. But again, Black Adam is one of the few DC characters who indeed have a chance of defeating Superman!
