“Lights” is one of my favorite songs. The harmonies are beautiful, and it’s a terrific example of how rap can be poetry with deep meaning. The deeper messages of BTS songs are so often delivered in the verses of the rap line, like in this song. They just do “musical rap” so, so well. And the vocal line harmonies in this song are really beautiful. BTS’s Japanese songs, like this one, always have amazing harmonies (also recommend “Film Out” and “Stay Gold,” “Your Eyes Tell,” “Don’t Leave Me,” and “For You” - Japanese-language songs with beautiful harmonies).

I found BTS almost 3 years ago when I had a daily sadness that I couldn't shake. Music and dance had always been a part of my life since I was little. I didn't want to listen to ANY music that I used to love. Until one day I saw BTS performing 'Fake Love'. I just stumbled upon a performance and almost immediately was drawn in to their words and dance. Fast forward and I'm still learning more, enjoying and supporting BTS every day and now my 6 year old daughter has even joined me. They are the first music group I've ever supported and loved in everything they do because they do so much for us. I think my daughter sees that and recognizes that I hold them close. This is her favorite song and so is 'Magic Shop' live performance. We watch and listen to these two songs every night before storytime now. You are awesome, thank you!💜

Como me tornei army: Three years ago. It will be four years in September. Well, I was in my beautiful life watching some KZbin videos and was going to turn off the computer when I saw several recommendations from that group of kids, from Korea. As it wasn't the first time KZbin had done this, almost by accident, I uploaded it. And I thought they were really funny (they were video montages of Bon Voyage and In the Soop). And I saw one more, then I saw another...and then I researched the songs and discovered "Mic Drop" and I thought that after all they, even had really cool music (this all happened in June/July) . Then came the era of "Dynamite" where I just wanted to fix the names and who's who and then I read several comments about Jin's few lines in the song, I discovered a video (Tiffhany Mishima) that talked about this issue and where she talked about "Epiphany". I went to listen to this song and after that, I was sure that I would never let go of the group.

They really do stand out as a group that has their loyalty and bonds to one another at their very core. It never fails to inspire me. A song that also talks about lights and the bonds between people is Mikrokosmos. I think that you would like it. Again, no dancing, but beautiful words and vocals, and music that still gives me an uplifting wave every time I hear it. I also appreciate how smoothly they can blend a vocal and rap portion of a song. And no one else does a rap with vocal backing as well as they do. No one. The way they do that in Wings & many other songs always impresses me. It really is a special talent. Once again, great reaction. Thank you.💜

💜Most of their MVs have dancing, but not all. This song, by the way, is on one of their Japanese albums. The MV is beautiful. And, you're right, you rarely see performers who have such a great rapport.

...and they were singing in Japanese, not Korean nor English. Beautiful song. They don't always do dancing in their MV's, although in some they do Some dancing. The full dances are usually on award show videos and/or concerts. If you want to see dancing in an MV, try one or two of their older ones - like "Not Today" or "Dope". Or watch a concert video of "Black Swan" from their Permission to Dance (PTD) concerts in LA or Las Vegas. It's really beautiful. OR, if you kinda want your mind to be blown, watch the quite long MMA 2019 Award Show Performance by BTS. It's best to watch the whole thing at one time if you can so you don't lose continuity with it. Some of it will go over your head as you don't have the history nor know the songs, but it's epic!

Although they are masters at singing and dancing at the same time, they have even better vocal control when they are just singing. Everyone likes different things about BTS. I'm with you on the dancing, which is why I like the dance practices. But their voices are beautiful and this song always makes me cry. We need to be shining our lights on them now. 💜💜

Though I have love for every single one of their songs (A song for every mood, moment and situation) I do have my top favorites and Lights has always been on that list. Bts’s brotherly and family bond is just amazing and definitely not one I have ever seen within a group. If you like choreo then you have to watch On: kinetic manofesto. Ie was shot in Los Angeles with The Lab dance company. Bts has said many times that it was the hardest choreo they had ever done. They have also said in interviews that Fire is their second most difficult choreo. Both are super high energy and worth watching. Enjoy!

How pretty!! I'm not so familiar with the Japanese songs. Yes, their bond is what's kept them together this many years. Many, many groups don't make it, someone gets ego, wants to go solo, they can't resolve conflict, someone gets tired, or wants more money in their contract, who knows. I've seen these guys on their comedy show where they have challenges to complete, and on vacations they take as a group, and all kinds of media they put out, and they are remarkable in that way. I understand that as trainees and early on there were some squabbles and stuff, but their manager said "fight if you need to, but all seven resolve it together no matter if only two were involved, and then bring it to me and tell me what happened". One squabble, called "The Dumpling Incident" is BTS lore, and there is a song called Friends that came out of it. For dancing that isn't on a dark stage, go to some awards show. DNA on American Music Awards was their first time on American tv. The Grammys of 2020, 2021, and 2022 are terrific. 2022 is in the top 15 of Grammy show performances. 2020 and 2021 were videoed due to covid and played there. There are some spellbinding award shows in Korea but they are 20-40 minutes, include from rap to sweet (like favorites of the year) and plenty of dancing. Not like American award shows at all.
