Jimin's dance moves gives goosebumps! In 2019 MAMA the members pre recorded their solo's but only RM and JImin did it live, I think Jimin change his mind last minute to do it live.

Bryan did you know that when BTS performed this they were getting lots of flack that they 'sold out' to the Western market which is why they did Fake Love and Airplane pt 2 (they earned that success by hard work, traveling is not 'fun' it's work) but came 'home' to criticism instead of being proud of them? That's why the interlude showed their overseas sold out concerts and the Billboard award. Idol is THAT SONG showing pride of their traditional roots. That's why the intro dances were all traditional drums, fans, scarves, masks and lions and BTS dressed in traditional hanbok. It is our anthem 💜 No one does it like they do. In Korea they don't respect too much the so-called Idols, because their stereotype is: somebody who was "created" by the industry (trained exhaustively) and most of them are just performers, because they receive the songs. That's why BTS is different. They are idols because they were trained, but they write and produce their own songs, so they are really artists.

I think you should react to the Idol MV now, and also at same time the DKDKTV Explanation by a Korean (because there are a lot of pictures and words that we wouldn't pick up on as Non-Koreans). It's so worth it! This is one of their hardest dances, along with ON and RUN BTS. Honestly all their dances look hard to me, but there was a lot of flipping and jumping in this one. I loved all the songs in this one, so it's also a favorite. I seem to remember the President of South Korea thanking Jimin for the Korean Fan Dance he performed. 3J's all did great with that pre-Idol traditional dance.

This is one of my favourite performances ever. I just love Idol so much. The message is incredible. Jimin won a cultural award for the fan dance. It’s so good! You should definitely react to the music video and the performance they did for the Jimmy Fallon show where they were dressed in Hanboks and performing at a palace in Korea. I think it was 2020 during lockdown. If I remember correctly, the song is also a bit of a clap back to stupid haters who were trying to say the guys were getting too “westernized” and “losing their Korean identity.” I’d love to see you react to Answer: Love Myself. It’s one of my fav songs from the Love Yourself era because the lyrics speak right to me. There’s no MV for it, but I think you’d really find it interesting.

Idol is such a good representative song of korean culture, they show their culture with pride at the same time that they show how proud they are of what they do because "nobody can make them stop loving themselves". Korean traditional costumes, incorporating traditional Korean dance, the traditional chants, etc, etc

just wanna put it here, but the Spring Day performance from MMA 2017 was really beautiful. their performanve itself was already so beautiful, then the stage design, not design, like the background stage made it even more beautiful. their MMA and MAMA stages are always so cool😭 (but to be honest, 2018 and 2019 are on a different level🔥)

This is a good introduction to Idol for sure. That song will always get you pumped up, and it is so awesome to hear it live and just hear so many people scream that they love themselves....chills everytime. I also like that just in this award show you see such a shift in songs, showing that they really do not have any songs thats sound just the same.

I know you must have done a lot of their songs from the love yourself era... but you will ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOOOOVE doing them in order. Because then you get to hear the story they tell throughout. They do it in map of the soul: 7 too, but it's even clearer and more important to get the order in the LY-albums - in my opinion. Idol here hits strong. They’d been getting a lot of backlash at this point for being too “western” so they did an intro to the song celebrating the various traditional Korean dance styles in a song that is an African Korean fusion so a big “f you we are not too western” in a song celebrating everything they are mocked for and loving themselves. Once again no one does it like BTS except for BTS. Also Grammy viewing was at an all time low they need to learn from Asian award shows… and respect BTS give them long sets Army will fill the seats.

Idol is a traditional inspired track featuring different classical Korean instruments, the song and the mv were inspired by the Korean genre "pansori". Idol was inspired by gqom, a style of house music originated in South Africa. The lyrics and the general message of the song are worth analyzing, there are several things that non-Korean people may not understand

J-Hope is the most outstanding dancer, you need to see him in Boy Meets Evil, it really show cases his outstanding abilities. Taehyung is visually the most stunningly beautiful man, he transcends beauty standards across the world, and is not only beautiful but extremely handsome, as he also transverses the lines been feminine and masculine beauty standards. That's the reasons he is being constantly voted the world's most handsome man. Jimin is cute in a baby face kind of feminine way, but doesn't float my boat on the masculine level of handsome. I think this is why many men find Jimin attractive, I'm not saying that women don't find him handsome but in my circle it is Taehyung that captures everyone's attention.

I love it when people watch one of these and it ends and they're disappointed that it's over. I get it! Me too! It's especially good when they come in skeptical, of course 🤣 I'm sure everyone has filled you in about Idol & this performance... I love how they responded to accusations of not being Korean enough 🤣 I think Daechwita is also a response to that accusation - Suga went and made a song that can't even be translated into English 😁 The fan dance is so compelling... Actually in 2016 (I think?) Jimin has a killer dance number too. 2019 is my favorite, that dance takes my breath away. I watch a lot of reaction videos and all the folks I really enjoy go silent for that one. 😁

Hobi's part in Airplane Pt. 2 is identical to one of his verses in Airplane Pt. 1, lol. Basically, he made the song Airplane for his mixed tape, and the others just really, really loved it and wanted it in a main album, so they ended up just ... writing an entire second song to copy-paste Hobi's same lines into, lol. That's why you're so sure you've heard that part before. You've heard Hobi's part, but not in Airplane Pt. 2.

You will *adore* the Love Yourself Era. They were starting that Era when I first discovered them and it helped pull me out of an extreme depressive episode. I was on suicide watch in a hospital and they were the comfort I didn't know existed. Also, yes, that did make you sound a bit old lol but that's not bad, only wholesome 💜 please watch JKs Golden Closet Film videos- its his first venture into directing/video editing and he made one of himself, Jimin and Hobi practicing for this performance. The other videos contain the other members aswell- its all footage of them hanging around, relaxing and exploring on their own in different countries and it really gives you a feel of their genuine love for one another.

I'm thinking of the setlist they had for the Busan concert and wondering how many of those songs you didn't hear yet. They did Idol! so reacting to Idol and the lyrics too? What about Ma City, have you heard it yet? Butterfly? Young Forever? Dope?? I'm almost sure you reacted to Spring Day but.. I could be wrong! Bangtan concerts are always amazing anyway whether we know all the songs or not! speaking as someone who started watching concerts before I even dived in the lyrics, but knowing the lyrics and context makes it better!

Have you watched “We On,” “Paradise,” or “Attack on Bangtan”? Great songs. Older songs at that. I think I read that “Attack on Bangtan” recently made the charts (is that right???), which is surprising because the dance practice video is 9 years old. 😳 Maybe ARMY organized something? If you react to it, PLEASE do the live performance and the dance practice. I don’t remember if the live has lyrics but “Enjoy BTS More” might have lyrics. She has lyrics for many, many live performances.

I love the whole performance...however, I was disappointed that the camera kept zooming out during key dance moves during IDOL. Still, BTS are such high energy performers. They are consummate performances.....EVERY TIME! Thank you for your reaction.
