What's going on Tubies and Tubers. I grew up in an era where movies, cartoons, and video games ruled a better part of my childhood...when I was home. I always gravitated more towards movies (especially comedy) at a young age. Over the last few years I have been finding myself tuning into Reaction Channels on a daily basis. The community and the creators make it feel like we are watching movies with friends. With this being said I went in blind to start my channel, and hunt down the movie prey that has eluded me thus far. I am 100% learning as I go with no editing background, or computer background outside of gaming. Because of this, I tend to have editing miscues from time to time and I apologize ahead of time for any missed. Thank you for taking the time to check out my channel and all suggestions are welcome!

LT Dan forgot he didn’t have legs when he literally tried to stand up for Forrest with the girls on New Year’s. He was also the only one standing at Forrest’s wedding.

For movies that hit hard, check out Shawshank Redemption, Dances With Wolves, and Field of Dreams. For a young Tom Hanks, check out Big, from 1988. For a really young Tom, check out a TV episode of Bosom Buddies, from the early 80’s.

Loved your reaction...especially your compassion for Jenny. Most folks don't understand the horrendous effects of childhood trauma.. especially if it involves sexual assault.. in the end she was strong enough to overcome/work through it and tried to make a life for herself and her child.. some never do. I believe she always loved Forest.. she just never loved herself.. or thought she was worthy of love.. I am glad in the end she was able to receive it as well as give it.. It is such a charming, lovely, bittersweet movie.. loveable characters and actors giving exceptional performances.

Thank you for your kind patience with Jenny. I read what you said about wondering if she just got together with Forrest so he would take care of their son, but her saying "I love you," right before she died was genuine and seemed to come from her heart. I believe she had always loved him. Her "Run, Forrest, Run" - her "You don't know what love is," - all of those times she admonished Forrest, were her speaking into a mirror about herself. After watching this movie innumerable times, I find my thoughts about feathers and birds to be the most striking. The feather at the beginning fell where Jenny lived... and flew away where Jenny landed forever. Right as Forrest is walking away from their tree after he was talking to her in her grave, a flock of birds flies to the tree, chirping and singing. Jenny had flown away from a life of pain and sadness, was safe, and was finally, home. Oh, and new subscriber. You have a tender heart. Thank you for that.

29:50 Forrest said "Sometimes when people go to Vietnam, they go home to their mommas without any legs. Sometimes they don't go home at all. That's a bad thing. That's all I have to say about that." This comes directly from Tom Hanks, that's what he said into the mic while filming.

Tom Hanks was so deserving of his Oscar for this performance, not only did he deliver lines with such deep emotion, he actually altered his speech pattern to match the young actor who played younger Forrest because the little boy couldn't shake his accent, so Tom adopted it as the adult Forrest for the rest of the movie.

1. The music royalties alone must have cost a small fortune🤑🤑🤑🤑 2. Kurt Russell did the voice for Elvis. 3. As a retired sailor, boats/ships need a female name. 4. Having gotten his degree Forrest would have gone into the Army as an officer like Lt. Dan. Not a recruit. His ASVAB kills that. 5. He actually saved Lt Dan twice. Once in the field and again to get him out of his post war funk and Dan turned his life around. 6. Normally an enlisted Army person would be fully aware of his/her separation date. 5. Jenny did indeed give him the best gift ever (it wasn't the shoes)😈 8. Jenny died of Hep-C from dirty needles when she was in Caliphony.. 9. It's ironic that Lt. Dan told the guys to take care of their feet because he loses his. 10. At the rally Forrest says, "There's only one thing I can say about Vietnam. Sometimes when people go to Vietnam, they go home to their mommas without any legs. Sometimes they don't go home at all. That's a bad thing. That's all I have to say about that." 11. You have had a ride through recent US history and culture. From Elvis, John Lennon, Abby Hoffman to Vietnam and Watergate. Even the jogging craze of the 70's. About the only thing left out was streaking. 12. Observation: Bubba's not a small dude. Forrest carries him with a bullet in his ass. 13. Sometimes, I guess there're just aren't enough rocks"🥺 14. Haley Joel Osmentt/Forrest Jr. steals the show in "The Sixth Sense" with Bruce Willis.🤩 15. Often when he's finishing a segment about death, he ends it by saying "That's all I have to say about that" 16 Keep in mind if Jenny wasn't wasting her life seeking men like her father and was with Forrest he/we wouldn't have had this incredible journey.

Hey JJ, I really enjoyed your reaction to Forrest Gump. This was my first time watching any of your reactions. I don't know if you've seen other Tom Hanks movies like Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, Castaway or Captain Phillips just to name a few and if not I'd like to see your reactions to those movies. Other GREAT movies like Only The Brave with Josh Brolin and Miles Teller, is a GREAT movie that most reacters always overlook. Jojo Rabbit is a GREAT dark comedy I think you would like if you haven't seen it. 12 Strong and Hacksaw Ridge are GREAT movies to watch. The Lovely Bones with Mark Walberg, After Hours a 1985 dark comedy with Griffin Dunne and a bunch of stars from the 80s, You Can't Run Forever with JK Simmons, The Drop with Tom Hardy and there are so many others, but most people haven't heard of them so I mention the ones everyone knows to see if they've seen them. @@tempsitch5632 People want classics... 🤷🏼‍♀️ And why would someone react to movies that don't get views? I've watched some reactions to some less mainstream movies, and they've got only a tenth, or less of the views that more famous and mainstream movies got. I'm really against suggesting less popular movies, especially when it comes to REALLY small channels like this one. You'd be ruining his chance at getting this channel going. Lots of small channels with reactions that have barely a thousand views. You don't want to do that. Imagine putting hours into recording and editing a video only to get a couple of cents out of it.

This is a classic good movie and I still like it but over the years as I grow older I do reflect on the elements of it more often. I seen some videos about why some people really don't like Jenny as a character and in concept practice. And genuinely multitude of them like Replicantphish really bring up some fundamental truths. Yes she had her tragic childhood and all but the way she acts like as a adult and perpetuates her own problems makes it all the more bitter and more unnecessary strife for the man Forrest. Many look at at Jenny the woman and the situation and say "if she wasn't willing to accept me in her prime years when we were young adults why should I be willing to accept her in her worse years if she didn't want me when both me and her were young adults?" Many men don't like a continuous large amount of drama that hasn't be resolved and thay conflicts with each other they don't have the long enduring patience for the way Jenny treated Forrest as a man for years on end. Tragic past or not it doesn't excuse the dysfunctional actions made and most men wouldn't want to endure that kind of relationship. It makes the ending of the film even more bitter due to the kind of long lasting relationship she could have had with Forrest if she didn't squander it for all those decades, she would have taken care of and had and raised a true family and have a good family life. And some men would look at this whole situation and feel in some ways "Have I been taken for a fool all my life?" From their perspective. Some men look at the movie Forrest Gump Jenny's character and behavior as a example and a warning of what type to avoid if they want to find true long lasting happiness and a good woman as a companion all their life. Is Jenny's character tragic? Yes. But would most decent men be patience enough to put up with such a lady who behaves and acts similarly to Jenny for decades on end while having no stable or long enduring family in return? No, most wouldn't and would try to move on to make the best out of their lives with dignity and to respect yourself. What Forrest got was not Jenny when she was in her prime and he did not get the best out of her. He only got the remnants that remained of her and the worse from her, and she died not too long after finally marrying him. Leaving Forrest alone to raise a boy who he didn't know he had that was kept away from him for years. That isn't fair and most men would feel bitterness about experiencing that kind of situation. It's sad but it is a harsh truth both men and women have to be aware of in life and for a life that is better then what happened to Jenny and Forrest if they desire to have long lasting and loving family life and a complementary relationship. A fulfilling good life.

Second reactor of dozens I've seen of Gump to recognize Bear Bryant! And your insight on the political and cultural history depicted is great. This is a good movie, but not a great film. @@JJreactsTV Please don't miss LA Confidential. Most cinephiles agree that it was the real Best Picture of 1997, though the Academy award went to a more popular movie about some ship that hit an iceberg more than a century ago. LA Confidential features one of the best twists/reveals in cinema history and was actually named the best film ever made in a recent poll, which is probably going a bit too far. The best film ever made is The Godfather...the best movie of the golden studio era of Hollywood is Casablanca, both of which should also be on your list. Looking forward to more!

It is kinda of a "thing" for reactors, especially dudes to watch the Twilight series and 9/10 they enjoy the drama, action and are perplexed by the age gap allowed. HP is another but ion know why people still support that. "Diary of a Mad Black woman" is the 1st major Tyler Perry as Madea movie. Not too much church or slapstick. You enjoyed "coming to America" the "Harlem Nights" should tickle your fancy, as well as "Life" both with Eddie. A cool classic is "Do the right thing" by Spike Lee from the 1980's and "The Wizard of Oz" from the 1950's or 40's and "The Wiz" is the 1970's Quincy Jones directed. Look forward to seeing you grow. Hunger Games is another popular series that many react to.

My Mom seriously looked exactly like Sally Field in this when we were kids. It freaked us out. We were convinced she had a secret movie career. I sincerely cried when she died, Still does sometimes and today happens to be her birthday...that's all I have to say about that...Tom Hanks is absolutely brilliant, even when playing a local idiot. I love when LT. Dan comes with his "magic legs" made from the same material as the space shuttle to his wedding...the next year they were in Apollo 13th together! When Forrest asks..."Is he, is he smart?" That was meant to break your heart. One of the most clever, hilarious, heartfelt films ever.

That must have been a great ongoing joke of having a secret movie career 😆 Another great thing about this film is that every costar was amazing. @@JJreactsTV Amen brother, first timer and subscriber. Like you said about the acting, there wasn't a bad line. And just the scope of history and humor was just overwhelming if not for the core root of the intimacy and heart of the entire thing. I'm sorry if you already have but this again is my first time with the channel. Thank me later and Godspeed!

@@JJreactsTV exactly. Many reactors paint her as the villain but I don’t see it at all. Once I saw a comment that said the movie was actually about Jenny. That Forest didn’t have a character arc at all, that he remained exactly the same from childhood-fatherhood, his journey was entertaining but he was like part of the setting… whereas Jenny was going through a journey. I kinda like that perspective. You are a great reactor, there are lots of movies I would recommend.. the Green Mile, Man on fire, the Count of Monte Cristo… I will keep listing them. As I mentioned before, you would like Ted Lasso, but being an Apple TV platform is a bit harder to watch.
