About the very beginning and your notion of him "having a very different voice in English" - I'm bilingual, and that's a very good observation. Many of my friends actually told me that I somehow change the tone of my voice and the manner of speaking when I'm switching from one language to the other, which is quite amusing, since I don't even notice it :D

Same! I'm French but whenever I speak English or Spanish, which are the two other languages I'm fluent in, my voice seems a bit different.
