True of this was an ordinary killer. But the creeper targets everyone who goes down that road, he'd already chose from the beginning at their first encounter. They couldn't drive faster in that old damn car. Going back to the church waz brave but it still didn't make them targets bc they already were. I love how everyone judges the character actions from the cozy confines of their arm chair esp when dealing with a supernatural being, which you can't exactly predict. Because it's ypu know...not human?

What's the police gonna do? I'd say creeper took care of the police quite easily. An entire police station in fact. And if that thing catches a whiff of a person he wants from the first (which in their case was at the start when truck roared up on them as they were driving along minding their business. They were targeted from then on. If they'd driven on home, creeper would have followed. Sometimes you can't run away. Esp from a supernatural winged thing that has a better nose than a bloodhound. Watch the sequel and you'll see what minding their own business got the characters then. What would have saved everyone? Not driving on that highway. Flying home, not driving in an old broken down car. But then there's no movie.

Fun fact: the opening scene in this movie is based on a true life crime. A man and woman were driving on a country road and another car came up behind them swerving until they were able to pass. When the couple saw the car later down the road, a man was covered in blood transporting a bloody sheet behind a school

We laugh about it now, but one weekend, my daughter, who was 3 years old at the time, spent the weekend at my mum's, her granny, and guess what grandma decided to put on for them to watch that night?! Jeepers Creepers! When she came home after the weekend, she was really struggling to sleep. And I couldn't understand why until she said Granny let me watch Jeepers Creepers. I should have known, some of the horror movies I've watched over the years were with my mum starting at about age 7. From American Werewolf in London, Halloween etc. It was the first horror film my daughter ever watched. At 3 years old. Still one of her favourites 😅

​@@kimberlyjeanne9456The creator/director of the original trilogy is a convicted pedo who somehow only served 15 months for some really heinous CSA-related crimes, some involving one of the kids in his first full-length movie, which is why it's no longer released. After details came out in the 90s, he was sort-of canceled for a few years and did more under the radar stuff. And then Francis Ford Coppola helped revive his career by executive producing the Jeepers Creepers trilogy. Salva has spoken on his crimes before and each time, he's been pretty flippant about what he actually did. His movies have been boycotted because there's a lot of stuff in them that people have pointed out that have made it way too hard to separate the art from the artist. There was very little chance he would have been greenlighted for the reboot considering all the controversy (and edits) that happened with the third one.

My mom was out of town and me and my dad got burgers (we were not supposed to be eatng out) and he rented this on Pay Per View (I feel old saying that, but it's true) and we were just having a fun time. Halfway through this movie (the part with the old cat lady) he left for 10 minutes and I continued to watch this movie by myself. I was fucking scared. A month later, my mom checks on me in the middle of the night (her habit) and she found me awake and scared. I had a nightmare that the creeper was in the corner of my room on the ceiling where my nightlight couldn't reach and I was fucking scared to move. I was 10. Despite that, this and the 2nd movies were two of my favorites until I found out about the direction. It's that separating the art from the artist thing, but I can't wait to watch your reaction.
