I remember sleeping on the couch in our old apartment and my dad walked in with jingle all the way on VHS and it became my favorite Christmas movie ever since 😊
@AlanomalyOfficial8 күн бұрын
This is easily my favorite Christmas movie. It's so stupid but it's intentionally stupid and it's so funny because of it. It recognizes what it's meant to be and delivers. Most of Arnold and Sinbad's dialogue as their characters was improvised and apparently the to of them became pretty good friends on set because of that dynamic.

Good reaction! I grew up with this film as a kid in the late 90s. i loved it! one of my favorite Christmas movies i see every year. it also introduced me to Arnold and Sinbad, Second time with Phil Hartman (RIP). Btw that big Santa was WWE Superstar the Big Show ^^ I hope you and everyone have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.😃🎄

Fun fact: The cop that pulls Arnold over and keeps having bad luck around him is played by Robert Conrad who played James West in the 1966-1969 Western series " The Wild Wild West", he was also the last surviving cast member from " The Wild Wild West" and passed away in 2020. RIP Robert Conrad.

This just reminds me of the "Tickle Me Elmo" craze in 1996. People were monsters trying to get their hands on that thing.
@learobinson44507 күн бұрын
Tickle Me Elmo is a lightweight. There were physical fights involving baseball bats & police in riot gear over Cabbage Patch Kids in the early 1980’s. Several people were actually hospitalized after being trampled. Plus there were a couple of stories about people getting shot but I think those turned out to be false.

One movie that's a guilty pleasure of mine, also starring Phil Hartman and also related to toys, is "Small Soldiers" from 1998.

I remember hearing sad stories like an employee opening the doors on Black Friday was trampled to death by the mob of people rushing in. Also an argument between two moms for a toy, then the dads came over and ended up shooting and killing each other.

The Lady they said who had the last turboman and that attacks Anorld with her purse is Yardley Smith who voices Lisa Simpson.

This was pretty laughed upon when it came out - well, many Arnold movies got that treatment (unjustly so). But it's a fun movie with a great soundtrack and many good actors. Like Phil Hartman (RIP), Belushi or Robert Conrad (loved Baa Baa Black Sheep). It's just a good family-fun Xmas movie. I like it. Well, I also actually love "Christmas with the Kranks", a movie most critics hated.

A lot of Cameos in this movie: Jim Belushi as Mall Santa, Martin Mull as the Radio DJ, WWE Wrestler Big Show (Paul Wight) as the Giant Santa, Verne Troyer (known for playing Mini-Me) as the Small Santa and Yeardly Smith as the "Call Me" woman he buys Booster from (she is the voice of Lisa Simpson). Liz the Mom was played by Rita Wilson (Mrs. Tom Hanks). Jamie the Son was played by Jake Lloyd who would go on to play Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars Prequel. The abused Policeman was played by TV legend Robert Conrad who was a big Star in the 1960's - 1980's in shows like The Wild, Wild West and Baa Baa Blacksheep Squadron. It is a funny movie that I watch every Christmas.

10:18 "Go to eBay" , what in December 1996, when there wasn't a website called eBay until September 1997? (name change from AuctionWeb to eBay). 16:19 That's Paul Wight aka "The Big Show" from WWF/E , or "The Giant" from WCW before that.

The con artist Santa was played by a very funny actor named Jim Belushi. Two classic movies from the late 1980's where he played the lead role that you should consider reviewing are K-9 and Mr. Destiny.

The only actual 'bad dad' thing Arnold does IMO is not buying the toy when his wife first told him to. All the crazy illegal things he does isn't really dependent on his dad status. Him and Sinbad just go insane but Arnold gets the karma Houdini aspect. Up until Myron chases Jammie up the building I wouldn't say he was any better or worse then Howard. But he still wasn't trying to kill the kid like you say. Lot of things they say, and you say it doesn't happen or that isn't right... well that is the joke.

*_This is one of my favorite childhood Christmas movies_* *_Side note: If you don't recognize the gigantic Santa in the black market location? That's actually former WWE wrestler The Big Show._*

Once you realize it's a cartoon, it's more fun. That fight scene at the end is pure Warner Brothers cartoon style. It's also fun for the many cameos like Verne troyer from Austin powers, Jim Belushi from trading places, Martin mull from clue, and Curtis Armstrong from revenge of the nerds. Not sure if you've seen all of those movies, but you have seen some.

Wouldn't say he was a bad dad, he wasn't intentionally trying to miss his kids stuff. He was struggling to be a good father, but he wasn't BEING a bad father. He showed how much his kid meant to him the majority of the movie.
