I LOVE Zombi! One of my favorite zombie movies, and my favorite Lucio Fulci film.

Yeaa, THIS flick had the FIRST zombies with the ROTTED look. THAT was it's one of it's main original touches and contributions to the whole subgenre.

This film is a classic. As a kid I always remember the box cover for this film being scary. I think it literally says on the cover “we’re going to eat you”
@edgein78925 ай бұрын
I had a shirt with the image from that cover. People were literally crossing the street to avoid me 🤣

That one scene with the woman getting her eye pierced was crazy. And who the heck lays down in a cemetery when there are zombies on the island? I wouldn't lay down in one even if there weren't any zombies around. Me any my friends went to see this movie in the theater when it came out. We got out of the theater late and we had to go by a cemetery on the way home. We never ran so fast in our lives to get home. I also went to see Gates of Hell when it came out. I love this movie along with Dawn of the Dead (1979) and Day of the Dead. Got them all on DVD.

Lucio Fulci's Zombie, one of the best zombie films, this film introduced me to Italian horror cinema, I hope you watch his film called The Beyond, it's his horror masterpiece
@andrewdavidscott87315 ай бұрын
YES! Not enough people even watch Lucio Fulci's films, let alone react to them. The Beyond. City of the Living Dead and The House by the Cemetery round off his four most well known films. Try The New York Ripper after these.

i love it that the zombie (the actor) isnt breathing, he had to hold his breath while attacking the shark. i mean thats breath control on another level, unless he was a zombie.

it's funny that, while a lot of Italian film makers were inspired by Night of the Living Dead, they loved to film internationally, unlike George Romero.

Love that Fabio Frizzi score. When _Zombie_ was released in the U.S., the theatrical trailer promised a "free barf bag" for audience members upon request. (They didn't actually provide them.)

I know you came back a few videos ago, but welcome back, Golden! 😃 Missed you and your Shitake catchphrase 😉🙂 Tisa Farrow was the sister of Mia Farrow, who was once married to Woody Allen but divorced & Allen ended up in a relation to their adopted Asian daughter. Tisa passed away 2-3 years ago (I think). The reason why this one is called Zombie 2 is because it's suppose to be an unofficial sequel to Dawn of the Dead, but in Italy it was renamed Zombie. Technically she was only topeless 😜😉 The Beyond & House By The Cemetary are other great movies by The Godfather of Gore himself, Lucio Fulci (who makes a cameo at 5:08 🙂)

Oh my! I first saw this with my mom and cousins at the drive in in 1980. I was 12 and this scared the heck outta me+ i would hear ir see the commercials on tv and the radio. The commercials tagline was ,,"We are going to eat you and it was accompanied by that creepy music from the movie. Nightmare fuel for me then 😳😜

The first zombie flick I ever watched and I loved every bit of it. This one gave zombies their rotten look insted of the blueish appearance from Dawn of the Dead or Zombi(e) as it was sometimes called. Plenty of titles for this too, I know this as Zombie 2.

when I first saw this movie years ago the shark scene made me wonder if we were getting a zombie shark. I love Lucio Fulci's horror films they're the best his whole zombi films. keep your eyes out for a film called " Uninvited" from year 1988 if you've seen cujo a film with an evil dog Uninvited has an evil cat that has government agents after it.

Lucio always had a part in his films and commonly seen smoking a tobacco pipe(He smokes tobacco like I do. Yes He got me into Tobacco pipe smoking) A sad ending for the great actor because towards the end he was diabetic and allowed himself to die not taking his insulin when his movies stopped having the impact he wanted. I wish I met him when he was alive. I would proudly have a smoke with him pipe wise. Yes Shark vs Zombie the 1st whos the greatest killer here. It was a tie but that shark got bit meaning possible zombie sharks

Zombi 3 has an amazing shark vs zombie fight. If you liked this, you should check out Peter Jackson's Bad Taste and Brain Dead. And Street Trash, and Brain Damage. Oh, and you might dig Q, the Winged Serpent, same director as The Stuff. I see you did Dagon, that film makes more sense when you know it was supposed to be a Re-Animator reunion, that's why the lead actor looks just like Jeffrey Combs.

I'm not sure if the zombie attacking the shark was a 'tribute' to Richard Kiel attacking the shark in 'The Spy Who Loved Me' from '77. It's Loochio Fulchey by the way.

This was called Zombie Flesheaters in my country, the UK, probably the main reason it ended up on the video nasty list. Great reaction again GD. Someone mentioned a couple of Peter Jackson's early films, I 2nd them, I think they'd be right up your street.

WWZ and I am Legend zombies/vampires pale in comparison to these zombies
@EricGray-zr2es5 ай бұрын
In his movies, you'd think humans were made of cake. Living flesh is not easy to bite through. In his movies, people seem like they're made from strawberry ice cream or something. It's gross but silly once you consider it.
@OriginalPsychoOP5 ай бұрын
You know that was actually one of my questions. It weird but I did wonder what the bite force was on these things
@EricGray-zr2es5 ай бұрын
@OriginalPsychoOP zombies bite should be less than a living human since the flesh is decayed and rotting,becoming undone. And don't get me started on the parts where they bite through clothing as well. Look at a pitbull, the dog has to violently thrust it's head back and forth just to maul an arm or something and even then you just get puncture wounds and such but it takes the canine great effort to do that. So compare the two. But I know it's a fantasy movie, and risen dead undead do not exist.
