I don't get why people tend to ignore this one so much. The whole "it's not really part of the MCU" is total BS. It sets up quite a few things that'll come back later and does actively involve certain elements from the greater MCU canon e.g. SHIELD, super soldier serum, and even a Tony Stark cameo. 30:00 I thought Lacey was way too critical of Betty. She seems to think regular people have no place in these life or death situations because they have no powers. Hate to break it to you but not all heroes are supers. Some people are just wired to run towards the danger if it means doing the right thing.

IMO one of the MCU cardinal sins is that Betty hasnt been in more films. Liv Tyler and Jennifer Connolley in Ang Lee's Hulk where perfect as Betty imo. Guys, just a quick explanation for you, Professor Stern's(Mr Blue) is the real identity of a well known Hulk nemesis, The Leader. At the time of release, scripts were still being pitched for the first Avengers Movies, and The Leader was one of the contenders for the Villain, but was ultimately scrapped. As a result, we have this intro for his character that never actually went anywhere.

Production comments. This is the last of the "Hulk" named movies. Marvel/Disney did not create a The Incredible Hulk 2 sequel because Universal still owns the distribution rights for Hulk movies. Disney doesn't want to share their toys, so they only include Hulk in other characters movies.

Some of these questions are anwsered in comics (made for the movie), other films and TV series like Agents of SHIELD. Scientist guy, Sterns, becomes the Leader (look him up; he has a giant head and green skin!) and is imediately captured by Black Widow (comics). Blonsky, the Abomination, is sent to a special Alsakan prison and kept frozen (Agents of SHIELD tv serie). Oh Betty's other boyfriend, the psycholigist Leonard, is probably Leonard Samson; in the comics he becomes the super-hero Samson by draining part of the gamma radiation of the Hulk. His strenght is based on the length of his green hair! If they ever make another Hulk solo movie Samson could help Hulk defeat Sterns' other gamma-powered monsters but I think they have copyright problems?

Even when I was a little kid the Hulk's "pants paradox" always bothered me. If anything, his torn shirt would stay on his body way before his pants would. "So...comic books aren't always realistic?" It was a hard lesson to learn at a young age...LOL (Actually, in the original Marvel comics they did come up with "unstable molecule cloth" - a special material that superhero costumes were made of and that could resist burning, stretching, etc. Although I'm not sure if Hulk's pants were made of it or not. I'm guessing not because, if they were, they wouldn't be torn and ripped as they usually are when we see The Hulk.)

Comics can show characters being nude, hell A character like Deadpool exists, which would go completely against the Comics Code Authority back in the day. The Comics Code Authority affected all comics btw, not just superheroes.

This is the only MCU movie made under Universal studios, the rest is all Marvel studios with the exception of the Spider-man movies (Sony). This movie usually doesn't fare well against the rest of the MCU so if you loved this then you are really in for a treat the rest of the way. Can't wait for you to continue through the MCU. You are going to love it!

This was made by Marvel, distributed by Universal. Universal had the distribution rights for any standalone hulk properties. Hulk does team and buddy movies from this point on, because Marvel ain't giving up the profit margin to Universal just for distribution.

The 1st one, The Consultant came out with the Thor DVD. And it's set after the events of Iron Man 2, Thor, and this movie. In case you wanted to ch check that out.

When Abomination grabbed the helicopter, and Hulk caught him by the leg, the one thought that went through my mind, and it would've been great for the helicopter was, "Hulk, nut punch!" (IK Abomination is really tough, but an angry Hulk with a fist to his family jewels would be highly likely to cause him to let go of that helicopter.)

The Abomination is his name and to put your question at ease on where they put him and where he is. He was always there in the marvel movies he just never was mentioned until one of the new movies that just recently came out. The abomination is apparently in the raft a supervillain prison made for the bad guys. He has been chilling there ever since keeping strict eyes on him because the abomination is very powerful and is equal strength towards the hulk and gives the hulk the most problems.
