like i said in my outro, seungmin might not be the best vocalist in this performance, but he was not overshadowed AT ALL either! he popped tf off! all of them did!!! this was beyond stunning ✨🕊

I think eungwang(person in the middle) did his responsibility as well as the leader in this vocal unit, so he defined two of them as their vocal . As we know seungmin has uniqe basic vocal and also the other boy in the other side (his name Jungho) has high tone (Idunno how to say that) but he always be able ro stabilized his vocal also . That's way seungmin more like sound as the main vocal in here (sound like the original). I can't explain that . Also he has so many lines here that sound incredible, I was goosebumps over this come out :") and the other groups called this as the Real Legendary stage. Luckily, seungmin here has more recognized by people in the world 💞😭 good boy

I think it's understandable that eungkwan would be the best one in this perf given his longer time and experience in the industry.. BTOB has been in the industry for 10+ years.. and yes Seungmin I agree was really not overshadowed in this perf in fact some people commented that this was like Seungmin's rediscovery..given that he didn't have a lot of chances to show off his vocal skills in the past (for skz title tracks at least). Of course stays know Seungmin's amazing vocals esp in skz bsides. Anyways, Seungmin really did well in this and his vocal tone really stands out. If I watch a random show and seungmin suddenly sings I'd probably recognize his voice right away..his voice is really unique

This song was originally recorded by IU, a female soloist. Eunkwang from BtoB (middle) is a LEGEND. He arranged the harmonies and song to let all three of them shine. Jongho (Ateez) and Suengmin don’t often get to show off like this, which made this performance so special. Also my favorite Kingdom performance.

I was so proud of Seungmin in this performance. He's come so far since debut. They currently don't have any official positions in Stray Kids but Seungmin is unofficially one of the main vocalists. Woojin was the official main vocalist of the group before he left. When he left, there was a huge gap for the other members to fill. Especially the vocal unit because losing the main vocalist would affect any group. But all the members stepped up, and Seungmin in particular has grown more confident in his singing and has improved so much. He shined during Kingdom especially in the IBYM performance and this performance. I'm so proud of how far he's come. I'd highly recommend checking out the performance of Boy's Diary from the last episode of Kingdom. You don't have to react to it but since you like Seungmin you can just watch it on your own if you want. He did so well among the vocalists of other groups.

Eunkwang (of BTOB) is widely acknowledged as one of the best vocalist in kpop. BTOB is known as a vocal group/healing idols in South Korea. Eunkwang arranged this song to specifically highlight Jongho & Seungmin’s vocal abilities because many people already know his abilities (it took him 4 hours to arrange the song). He also took the “lower” harmony (which is actually the hardest part according to many vocal trainers and singers). Eunkwang has a lot of experience in creating/arranging harmonies because that is something BTOB is known for in SK. If you like vocals and more soft/melodic rap, I recommend checking out BTOB”s discography because it is jaw-droppingly amazingly phenomenal.

I was literally crying after watching the whole performance, I was so proud of seungmin. He was originally a baritone but he kept on practicing and made his range wider. Vocalist with lower tone usually get over shadowed by those who sing high notes but seungmin stands out with just his vocal tone. Its enough to express the emotion. I was so thankful of eunkwang for arranging the song perfectly where they all were able to show their strengths. It was my favorite performance.

Honestly im so mad if other fandom keep dragging seungmim just because he not hit many highnotes like their fav, i mean being good vocalist not always about highnote. it was really nice to see how good eunkwang leaded them thought this (the one in the middle, since he has more experience! he's in btob and they’re a 3rd gen group that is known for their vocals ) they all stood out in their own ways and this stage was just breathtaking,they all had amazing vocals! to me seungmin stands out with his vocal tone, of course he still has a way to go to get more experience and better his vocals even more (don't get me wrong his vocals are already so good and knowing he's this good already makes me exited to see how much more he's gonna improve!) , but his vocal tone is so unique even eunkwang said he's jealous of that and thinks seungmin has a really unique sound, (during the rehearsal for this performance it made me feel really proud how they were impressed with his vocal tone and other groups said it stands out a lot, especially because he was really nervous for this performance ) also knowing he's originaly a baritone so seeing him hiting those high notes effortlessly (esp in the bts when he was practicing) is really impressive! im so glad it turned out so well!!

As a melody (BTOB fan) , seungmin might not get the high notes now but with practice, he may be like sungjae (btob member, he is a baritone and with practice, he is able to reach high notes by time). Like Eunkwang said, seungmin's voice is unique.

I was emotional with you. Eunkwang is a master. As much as I was always impressed by Jonho and Seugmin vocal ability, in this performance we could see how time/life matures a vocalist. Jonho and Seugmin (both 20 years old) need to eat a lot of beans to reach Eunkwang level. (eat a lot of beans = grow up/get experience)

EunKwang is a legend. But our two boys here kept up with him amazingly! I cried so much when watching this. We are totally robbed that we can’t purchase this on iTunes. It so amazing!!! JongHo was the icing on the cake that made me fall in love with ATEEZ. ATEEZ is amazing and I love how they use JongHo in their songs. He is the secret weapon for sure. Eukwang (middle) is from btob, fr what I know they are mostly on ballad side these days, he is 10 yrs older from the 2, Seungmin & Jongho (sorry if I misspelled a name). I'm very thankful for this PERFORMANCE and the other two singers specially to their senior Eukwang, he let his two juniors shine on their own way and maximize their potential with his song arrangements & guidance. The two younger ones fr Ateez & SKZ kinda have a similar genre very different from this type of songs but they all nailed it. It was very emotional and this gave Seungmin opportunity to showcase his vocals w/c he could rarely show due to the genre of skz's song. I'M SO PROUD OF SEUNGMIN 🤧

One of the many things I love so much about this performance is that Eunkwang arranged and assigned parts to compliment each voice. Seungmin CAN hit beautiful high notes, and he's worked hard to build that skill. But for me, as a lifelong vocalist, the thing I love most about both Seungmin's and I.N's voices is their unique, distinctive tones, and the range where that quality shows most to me is mid-range. There's such a huge push for vocalists to reach higher and higher because it's an easily quantifiable measurement that even people who don't have a lot of musical education/understanding can grasp (much like rappers being measured solely by speed, which is equally absurd), but so many gorgeous baritone and lower tenor voices shine brightest when they're not being pushed into "who can hit the highest note" form, and it pains my little singer heart at the constant evidence of how common that push is. When Seungmin and I.N get the chance to really let loose and sing below their highest range, I absolutely glory in the opportunity to really hear and immerse myself in the full flavor of the unique tone and resonance each has.

After watching this performance i felt kinda bad bc an outsider like me (non-stay) never thought SK had such a great vocalist but sadly it's not easy to witness his unique voice just like this. As for the other two. I know very well both of them. Eunkwang is a legend vocalist (same as the other vocalist in btob). And Jongho's vocals are well known too. So they didn't surprised me. Not enough appreciation was given to this episode on kingdom. This performance... I mean, what can I say. BTOB, Ateez and Stray Kids work so damn well together it took my breath away. Both this and Mayflys dance. But this is the only performance out of the entire series that made me truly cry. It wasn't till the third watch, but that's just how long it took for me to actually pay attention to the song meaning and the real emotions they were expressing. I was too busy being impressed and in awe of their talent and visual impact at first. Only one from each group, and they stole the show. Also, I completely agree with you on each individual vocalist in this one. I think though, the reason he didn't hit as hard as the other two, was simply because he was taking the mid range original vocals. The other two were taking the lows and highs, also giving them defined solos. Which I find tends to resonate more in a person. But they all killed it. Simply stunning. In regards to how everyone calls Seungmin savage though. I think it's his ability so suddenly and out of nowhere come in swinging with either a joke or an action that leaves everyone speechless. lol He went 100% badass full blown man this year. As a random example.... in the making of Thunderous, he was walking past Felix who was leaning against a car for photos I believe. He just reached out and grabbed his belt/waistband, and gave it a tug on the way by. The look that it left on Felix's face was something else. lmao Seungmin didn't even stop or crack a smile as he went. I think he may have said something under his breath as well but he was turned to the side and I'm completely deaf. So I wasn't able to read his lips or feel the vibration from his voice in that moment. Lol I could however feel his confidence, he gave absolutely no fucks. He also has a habit of quietly standing amongst the others while they tease each other, and picking the perfect moment to open his mouth and deliver a deadpan 3rd degree burn that leaves the others either dying laughing or in shock. Then he just walks away without do much as a giggle at his own joke. It's bloody awesome, and yeah, a little Savage. Lol he can be so quiet sometimes that I think we forget there's a very intelligent, thoughtful, and mature man in there now. One who has a little bit of a diabolical side mwahaha. 😊 But I still see everything he's always been as well. He's not a different person now, just a more complex one. Anyways, once again, I digress. I'm ranting on. Haha I'm so glad you did a reaction to this though. It gave me the feels all over again. Something most reactors and reviewers never manage to do. You are a precious gem amongst mere riverstones. Hope you have a great weekend sweetface!

Thank you Gabbie. I knew you would love it. No they were not competing against each other they were united as one group and competing against the other group that collaborated. The 6 kingdom groups had to team up to make 2 groups and each of those 2 groups were trying to get the 5000 points for each performance. The 2 groups had broke off into units one for vocals, one for rap and one for dance. Each performance was competing for 5000 points. BtoB, Atees, and Stray Kids was one group named Mayfly 💙, SF9, Ikon, and The Boyz was named Its One. The were judged by 33 judges who voted on each performance and this performance was the only one that got all 33 votes. The other vocals performance by its one got 0 votes. This performance to me Legendary iconic. I think you would love to see the other 2 collaborated performance by Mayfly because they are amazing and Legendary too.
