It’s crazy that a short 20 minute episode with very little context, it can make you cry when Iruka apologizes to Naruto. Absolutely beautiful. Also, out of the Big Three (Naruto, Bleach and One Piece) I think Naruto has the best soundtrack, combining traditional Japanese style music with fun modern beats. I love this Anime.

The author of the Naruto manga is Masashi Kishimoto. He was heavily inspired by the Dragon Ball manga, so you will see a lot of similarities. But this is a complete, original story that no one else has except this anime.

There are many analogues between DBZ and Naruto. I think I remember hearing somewhere the creator of Naruto was a DBZ fan. Just look at everything that matches between the two. Goku: wears orange and blue, boundlessly optimistic and cheerful, out of control transformation when young (Oozaru), controllable transformation when older (Super Saiyan, etc), yellow hair (SSJ). Naruto: wears orange and blue, Boundlessly optimistic and cheerful, out of control transformation when young (nine tails), controlled transformation when older (Sage mode, etc), yellow hair. Vegeta: enemy turned rival/bff, wears blue and white, dark spiky hair, aloof and calculating, kind of a jerk (but mellows out), initially selfish but becomes one of the team. Sasuke: rival/bff turned enemy (orochimaru BS), wears blue and white, dark spiky hair, aloof and calculating, kind of a d*** (but grows out of it), selfish but eventually grows out of it (ya’ll know what he did). Bulma: girl best friend, completely hopeless most of the time but there to support the team, comes in clutch sometimes, non-natural hair color (blue), becomes love interest of rival/bff (Vegeta). Sakura: girl best friend, completely hopeless most of the time but there to support the team, comes in clutch, non-natural hair color (pink, because of her namesake), was in love with rival/bff (sasuke). Master Roshi: perverted old man becomes mentor and trains MC Jiraiya: perverted old man becomes mentor and trains MC (Pervy Sage lol) And the list goes on with numerous similarities between the two. Naruto got a lot of inspiration from DBZ, and did its own thing with the themes involved to help fans of DBZ get into Naruto and be able to tell its own story without being the same thing as DBZ.

Naruto's a good one! The first episode has one element that I don't like personally: the over-the-top cartoonish sounds, for example when Naruto beat up the bad guy with all of his clones. That improves quickly in upcoming episodes. Getting to know the shinobi world, characters and techniques (jutsu) is going to be awesome! Looking forward to seeing more.

Something they don't emphasize enough is that the regular clones are just illusions, but shadow clones are physical copies. Going from unable to make one simple clone to being able to do a harder skill like making a whole bunch of physical clones shows he must have trained hard to learn that technique.

Oh naruto is in whole other league than dbz as whole story. Better choreography fights, better characters, better story, better character development, better villains, etc. Tho dbz is best for dopamine hits with those amazing transformation and amazing fights especially for young teenagers. Yes, it's pretty simple. People who want to watch dub, react in dub. We want to watch sub, so we react to sub. I can understand where they come from though. They probably grew up with the dub version, like I did with DBZ. We also uploaded two dubbed animes, so the majority of viewers on this youtube channel probably only want dub. However, it would be nice if they accept our decision. Many people like sub as well!

Yeah most people are surprised because we are watching both DBZ and YYH in dub. I respect both sub and dub, but our preference lies with sub. Maybe because we're used to that in The Netherlands. We watch everything with sub, except Dutch movies/series.
