If you are actually interested in watching the anime the best advice is to just start, don’t give yourself a certain amount of episodes to watch a day and just watch as much as you want. The Baratie arc is what sucked me in fully and the Arlong arc just solidified it as one of my favorites so I wanted to watch from there on out which is like 20 episodes in or something but if you don’t like it, you don’t like it, don’t force yourself to keep watching hundreds of episodes until it “gets good” you’ll know if you love this series or not 40 episodes in.

My main gripe is the cgi hopefully for next season they get a bigger budget, cuz it’s very soul games isk villains are 8-12ft tall 😂 like a bunch of marvel hulks 😂

My expectations honestly were veery low. I still think that the characters look very cosplayish but otherwise its a lot more fun than I expected.

It's definitely intentionally campy, which is about the only way you can adapt an anime, especially like one piece. That doesn't work as a wholesale excuse for everything that feels weird/bad but it does for much of it imo. Like a lot of the time it really IS the point. It's unapologetically corny and over-the-top and it usually works. Not for everyone, but definitely for me. And yeah other live-action adaptations are just not good. Japanese ones are low budget and usually poorly acted, and western ones are poorly written and miss the point. People shit on Cowboy Bebop the most but not because it was the worst, because it SEEMED like it would be good. It was so close but they just made some bad calls and it didn't work.

i mean it would only take like a year or less to watch one piece provided you dont watch it weekly as if you did weekly episodes it would take 23 years since thgats how longits been going. ive been reading it for about a year on and off and im on 450 chapters

If you wanna watch a one piece a little bit faster than the anime try one pace it cuts out all fillers, but still there's roughly half as much footage so its still really long

To be completely honest if you have the time to watch at least more than 5 episodes a day it takes like 2 or 3 years to completely catch up if you take your time, shorter if you read the manga, it feels extremely short when you actually want to know the story so yeah, this live action is a good opportunity to skip the first 90 something episodes 😅

@@TrophyReacts lmao i meant if you had time to watch five episodes or more a day maybe you'd probably catch up in two years and three years or more if you just took your time with the episodes 😭 at least that's the usual time I've noticed but at the end of the day one piece really is a story you need to take in, so rushing to catch up is not the best option

Anime is not feasible any longer with the gargantuan amount of episodes. You can save a lot of time by just reading the manga. The source material trumps any adaptation anyways.

​@@TrophyReacts Theres a fan community called One Pace that cuts all filler/recap/repetitive scenes from the anime and for reference they've adapted 812 One Piece episodes and turned that into 382 episodes.
