Brad Pitt's accent is actually very good as he is playing a Traveller (gypsy) which is slightly diff from mainland Ireland. Think Tyson Fury. I have come into many British travellers in London in my lifetime and Brad's accent is surprisingly accurate

Of course - you can't know - in fact, most people outside the UK can't know, but the term "pikey" is considered quite the strong slur :D Sort of... like a good ol' Tarantino-dialog-moment! It's just fun to watch people wonder about the word, out loud In fact, it's a well known thing (even a whole meme-subject) the otherwise-liberal-European attitude toward Roma people (also known as "gypsi" - also consider a slur) as well as other kinds of "Travellers" (that may or may not be related to Roma-people, but share a similar culture and/or reputation) - it's very complicated, with a history that is both dark and ongoing. From what I understand, the "pikeys" in this film are non-Roma related, but still refered to as both "gypsi" and then "gippos" in at least one scene (yet a slur!)
