WHY THIS REACTION: This film popped up on my recommendations while browsing Prime Video...Loved the cast - Anne Hathaway has been a fav since "Ella Enchanted" for me, and I cannot seem to escape Nicholas Galitzine these days - but that's all I got from the thumbnail. Then I read a tweet about the premise...I realized that this film deserved my undivided attention, before I got spoiled even more! I was not disappointed - lots of fun dynamics (and music!) at play.
THE PLOT: The film follows a newly-40something divorcee as she accompanies her teen daughter and her friends to Coachella, where she has a chance encounter with the lead singer of a popular boy band. Sounds potentially salacious, but what unfolds is more endearing and romantic (and emotionally harrowing) than expected.

Thank you for the great reaction ❤ A lot of people get lost in the boy band story line and completely missed the beautiful journey and growth the two main characters had, especially Solene as an older woman with specific insecurities. I also love how they demonstrated that Hayes is so much more emotionally mature than his friends who had no qualms embarrassing Hayes in front of others. It also showed in the way he handled the break-up. He loves Solene and he cares about Izzy's safety and well-being. He didn't want that life for them. I don't think the relationship would have survived the turmoil. When they meet again after 5 years, there is a quiet joy in their eyes as opposed to the frantic whirlwind romance at the beginning. ❤ My hopelessly romantic heart knows they have their happily ever after ❤ Thank you once again for your great reaction ❤
