The youngest brother Chris was left out of the movie because the director felt like it was too much, but they had the one brother that died of stomach issues and 3 brothers committed suicide in real life. Great reaction and really good movie but I'm not sure I would rewatch it anytime soon because it's just so depressing.

I did hear about the directors keeping out the youngest brother death. They didn’t want to depressed the audience even more. Sad emotion movie. It hit me in the very end. Just sad.

And the oldest one who got electricuted and drown in the snow as a child. I worked on this film in Baton Rouge. It's so sad that there were 6 brothers and then only one. I wish they had not left the youngest brother out of the film....

He was a former discus thrower so they gave him the finishing move the 'tornado punch ' where he spins around like he's throwing a discus

They do play fast and loose with the timeline of events and with how certain things happened in this movie. And they left out a lot of details besides the youngest brother. This is a long comment but here are some other things about what really happened: 1) Kerry did not get into his accident the night he won the title. The accident where he lost his foot was nearly two years after winning the title. He only held the NWA title for 18 days before losing it back to Flair, and it was only given to him as a favor. The NWA didn't trust Kerry with a long title reign because he already had substance abuse problems and had missed shows he was scheduled for prior to winning the title. 2) David was married to his second wife when he died. His first marriage ended after their 13-week-old daughter died from SIDS. 3) Kerry had been married and they had two daughters prior to his death. 4) Fritz had spent the morning with Kerry on the day that Kerry died. He had no indication that Kerry was thinking of killing himself, and it was Fritz that found Kerry's body when he didn't return to the house after a few hours. Kerry last words to his dad where "I love you dad," as he hugged him. 5) Fritz and a business partner owned the majority of the wrestling promotion, and they were the ones that sold it to Jerry Jarrett not Kevin. Kevin actually tried to prevent the sale through a lawsuit but was unable to block it. 6) Fritz was also a discus thrower and almost went to the Olympics himself. According to Kevin Fritz's best throw would've even won a gold medal had he been able to go. He couldn't afford the travel expenses, and the AAU wouldn't pay for the trip because Fritz had gotten married. Fritz held the Texas state high school record for the discus throw until it was eventually beaten by his son Kerry. 7) The match where Kevin "lost it" and got disqualified against Flair happened way earlier in his career. It was about a year after David died and it was the planned finish to the match. 8) After seeing this movie, the first time Kevin said the one thing that he didn't like about it was how Fritz was portrayed in the movie. He calls his dad a "decent and honorable man", and Kevin blames the deaths of the brothers who ended their own lives on substance abuse more than anything else.

Me too bro. The Van Erics were real wrestling. I remember every Saturday morning. My brothers and sisters and I would sit at v watching these guys. The Andre the giant well where I'm from. I actually seen, I'm ready the giant at the checker dome. Well, it's not there anymore, but St. Louis. They used to have a place called the checker dome. It was awesome

You seen Andre the Giant wrestling. I’m jealous. lol. Good Stuff. I loved all the old school wrestling. My brother and friends would always pretend on the bed. Made our own belts! The good old days right .

The timeline here is a little confusing. The order the film presents it is correct. From what I can remember, David died first in 1984, Mike died in 1987, the missing brother Chris went in 1991 and Kerry I think in early 1993. It’s a little gripe but it was great nonetheless.

Great reaction brother! It's ok to cry and actually healthy, that last scene killed me! I hope they make a movie of the other great wrestling family, the Hart family, they had a good share of tragedy as well.
