The guy who was the fake cop in the scene they thought they would be saved was actually in the movie from the beginning, being one of the cooks in the kitchen, this detail was made to show us how much we normally don't even pay attention to those who serve us.

Geezus. I feel like shit cuz I definitely never knew that detail or paid attention. @@dess234

wooah like it was a type of symobalism that these people who dont take the time to care about the art of the food prepared they never even noticed the one they thought was saving them was the one of the people who was preparing their Dinner.
@nobu3358Ай бұрын
You make it sound like we should remember those people. Mate, he's just doing his job and I'm there to enjoy food,not to memorize people's faces.
@tsubaki.3500Ай бұрын
@@nobu3358 I understand your point, but I think it only works when you're in a restaurant where you can't see the kitchen. In the movie, the kitchen is completely open, you can see everything and everyone in there. You're not even going to look at the people cooking there for you? Your arounds? Because in the movie, none of them even bothered to do that, and that's sad.

This movie honestly is a great commentary on how people treat service workers and how capitalism ruins the ability to just enjoy things as amazing as food! Slowik wants to cook REAL food
@Riya.c69Ай бұрын
A great detail was Slowik giving Margot bread in the form of the burger bun. Earlier he said none of them deserved bread, and yet, Margot got a bun
@RS-bn1tyАй бұрын
Well this is because of a few things she wasn’t meant to be there, she was not the one he wanted to kill because he didn’t know her personally so she was never mean to him that’s why some of these people are here and some because he is petty but she reminded him the joy of simple well prepared food so that’s why but we are not really sure if she survived or not because there was a statement earlier in the movie about aged meat can become poisonous so even though she left we are still not sure she survived
@amarzya445Ай бұрын
@@RS-bn1ty Huh? Obviously she survived, that's the whole point. Cause she was from lower class like the chef and wasn't a pretentious high class asshole

'amuse bouche', its basically a french word for starter, or canapé, not the name of a dish. The term literally means 'to amuse the mouth' (pause).

So there was a deleted scene where the female food critic was getting waterboarded by the broken emulsion that she kept getting throughout the film. I'm not even sure why it was deleted because it would have made the movie more disturbing.
@nbucwa6621Ай бұрын
It wasn't necessary imo

Eh. It was gratuitous and didn't fit with the rest of the movie, which was more psychological than visceral.

I actually read the original screenplay for this film and there were a few differences, the Hollywood star was originally going to be Daniel Radcliffe himself, additionally, in the cheeseburger scene where you mentioned the ketchup, originally, Margot demands Heinz, but Slowik instead encourages her to try his own sauce made with "Equal parts Heinz, mayo and hot dog mustard".
