You actually did better than the 2 “pro” windsurfers I’ve seen videos trying. You mentioned starting on a bigger board and with more wind. One more tip is to fly the wing on the beach or land until it is smooth and second nature. This will eliminate one thing you have to worry about.

Hi Jake, thanks for your input! That's absolutely some good advice for all the wannabe wingfoilers that will pave the way to a smoother entry into wingfoiling. Have fun and... See you on the water!

Nice video. I think, 80L board it's small for a begginers.

@@rssupsurffoil I agree! It worked for me, but that 80L board absolutely didn’t make it any easier. There are more stable and much easier boards to start with on the market. I would now advise a longer, wider board with a volume of at least own weight + 40L.

Thank you! It was quite challenging and the best advice I can give you is ... Use a board with enough volume (your weight + at least 40). It should also be a board that's able to get up to speed easily and preferably is a bit longer. Start with something like a 2000 cm2 foil beginners foil. It's quite a rewarding journey, so have fun and... See you on the water!
