First Tope session of the year on Anglesey

In an attempt to catch my first ever shore caught Tope, I headed off across the rocks with ‪@fishingcountrylifewithtommyjoe‬. Unfortunately the mark we planned to fish was covered in lobster pots and with big tides we were sure we would be contending with those all session so we moved to a mark neither of us had fished before.

Hi Alex, i watch all your trips and have to say you are a credit to sea fishing. Now a big ask as i am an amputee and also have a love for fishing i am looking for places to fish without having to walk to far from the car around north wales. Hi Dave, that's very kind of you mate, thank you! As for accessible marks, Amlwch harbour is the only one I can think of, really, and I've never fished the side you can park on, ive always walked around to the other side. You have holyhead breakwater, but that's gated now. It's an easy enough walk, but 2/300m from where you can park. Mostyn, you can park on the track, but then it's a bit of a scramble over the wall. Your best option would be to join the shore huggers UK Facebook group. Darren who runs it, is from that area and so are quite a few of the lads, so I'm sure they will know a few marks.

Ive just remembered...Connahs Quay is one you can fish from the car. It's at the top of the river Dee so high water only, for things like flatties and bass.

Hey buddy! I use a gopro with remote mics, I have the syncho ones which have been great so far. I've recently bought amazon special mics for my phone but haven't used them yet to say whether they're any good or not. I usually use my phone for close-up stuff so audio isnt an issue or use that footage as b roll stuff over the top of gopro footage and use the audio from the mics, if that makes sense
