I think you have to give NRG credit. I would say they were the greatest team from last season, or maybe barely 2nd to BDS. Making every Grand Final and winning 1 of them is a massive feat that no other team accomplished. And I want to say that as someone from EU who is not a fan of NRG. They were still incredible and you have to assume they still are until proven differently.

Plus your statement is somewhat incorrect and somewhat correct, falcons beat g2 4-1 in ewc. Tbf g2 were playing with nass but despite that nass is an insane player who doesnt turn nrg from beating falcons to losing 4-1. And lastly at the world champs g2 may have outranked them however they both lost to the same team (bds) however falcons went to game 7 and g2 didnt.

I think the difference is that KC was a top 4 team that only lost to G2 by a single goal that have since replaced their weakest member with one of the current best players in the world and dominated since. BDS were already #1 and have arguably replaced like-for-like. I don't think Vitality look worse than BDS last season, KC just look better.

What is that dude mumbling? Both KC as well as Vitality consist of a team that has 2 players that were teammates LAST SEASON with 1 other player from another team. And Vitality is the team with 2 out of 3 reigning world champions, while KC is only 1 out of 3. So "needing some time to get settled" is the exact same for both teams, in terms of linking up. Vatira, Atow as well as Dralii are getting older and more experienced as well. On top of being more talented and more mechanical than both of Zen 's teammates, the KC trio is also gaining experience cancelling out Monkey Moon 's main asset.

About NRG vs Vitality for @nd in the world. Its easy BDS barely beat NRG in the finals. If you were watching G2 was taking bake control of the series when Atomic made that mistake. Then BDS switched Dralli for Zen and the team Dralli went to that was 3rd best in EU DESTROYES the new Vitality team. So obviously Zen made them worse so you can Ignore the worlds final in this comparison.

This is some next level delusion. BDS had all the momentum in that series having won the previous two games 4-1 and 5-2. In the deciding game, at no point did G2 have a lead and BDS were comfortably in control. There is not a single stat that favored G2 in that last game other than demos. Atomic's mistake did not cost them the series. Saying you can ignore the Worlds final due to the result of a completely separate event between different teams is ridiculous. Zen didn't make them worse, they stayed at a similar level. KC just leveled up significantly due to replacing their weakest player with one of the best in the world.

Believe it or not, it is possible for a team to remain at the same level after a player trade of similar quality, and it is also possible for another top tier team to leapfrog them when making a significant roster improvement. This is the difference between a sidegrade and an upgrade. This doesn't mean a team has got worse, it just means another team has become better.

Like, sure, he had that one big mistake at Worlds…but before that he was super solid. I mean, G2’s defensive structure was easily the best in the world last season. I think you can't rank NRG over VIT right now because considering how they looked against opponents, NRG had to really fight to get their win in a weaker region. Meanwhile, VIT easily handled every team outside of KC out of the top 8 squads. And considering how good NiP look as third best in EU, an arguement could be made on NiP beating NRG. Which lowers the confidence in an NRG 2nd. One could say that NRG hasn't hit their rythm yet, but then the same could be said about VIT. So honestly, it's pretty sound argument all around.

The crux of it all is this: If NRG was playing in EU regionals, how confident are we that they make it to grand finals? I think that's what those who have VIT up would be asking. And considering NRG roster lost to Jacks team before, and SSG just went out in Swiss, I still think an argument could be made to keep them at 3rd.

Bds won worlds against Nrg, vit is 2/3 of bds with zen instead of dralii. Some of y’all consider zen the best player in the world. Saudi arabia won against team France wich is 2/3 of vitality (Zen, MM). Kc won vs vitality in open 1; Vit is basically the world champs. That makes Kc number 1. There is a clear difference when the 2/3rds roster that won EWC and Worlds had been playing together all year, compared to FIFAe where a different 2/3rds roster had been playing together for 2 weeks prior to the event. FIFAe does not carry as much weight as EWC or Worlds, especially since it was won by a fully established S tier roster playing on home soil.

@@nazbiker1734 Honestly, SAM and MENA both need 3 spots, as well as EU getting 5. Oxygen last season at Worlds proved that point. SAM’s depth is only getting better (while still sending a team to NA) and MENA is competitive this year with Rise, Atomik, DrKnown, Nush, and Tox. 3 super solid teams that all could be competitive at LAN. Lots of young talent from both regions ready to prove themselves.

The depth from those regions can play on par with NA 4, OCE, APAC, SSA, etc. Wildcard used to go crazy when SAM 3 or APAC would beat EU 6 or 7. Those were the times. When the smaller regions would upset the bigger ones.

@ If NRG don't get credit for winning 4/6 regionals in NA when there are at least 2 top 8 teams in the region AND making every grand final in RLCS last season, then MENA don't get credit for winning their region and Saudi E-leagues. The rest you have an argument for, but in theory...NRG should be placed higher than Falcons. Only true logical reason is their FIFAe performance and EWC...both non-RLCS events. Some people just rate RLCS events more...so I can see why they think NRG should be higher. You already know where I stand...but it's very reasonable for someone to put Falcons 4th. Especially since you're counting goals and games...KC lost to G2 in game 7, but beat Falcons 4-1. There's a solid case that Falcons were the 4th best team at Worlds per those results...not just "well, they lost to the winners in one game". There's more to the story than you are telling.
