Hello All It's a personal piece of advice whenever you caught in a sandstorm never park besides a truck because trucks have a very large surface area and the strong winds can turn them down on you, I made this mistake once and truck fell on my car, thankfully I was saved but the car crashed on the passenger side, like in this video Abrar parked besides the truck thinking he is safe but he is not

Sand Storms before heavy thunderstorms rain is common in Saudi Arabia due to the fast speed wind due to rapid change and movement of air pressure. In summary if you are in Saudi & there are heavy, rainy clouds & you weren't in the mountainous region of Albaha'h & Assir than expect a heavy sand storm before any thunderstorm.

Qunfudah to jeddah is a sand storm area... Be careful while going to Riyadh...there are multiple sandstorm areas on that route..
