I have original beergun from Blichmann. Looks the same. Now I'm using counterpressure bottle filler from Aliexpress and I prefer this way. I fill bottles with beer pre-carbonized in keg or fermented under pressure. Works well and almost no yeast at bottle bottom.

Good to see you back Glenn, I`ve had the beer gun from Aliexpress for some years, I think most of my Brewery is built from them, Cheers

Always loved your videos! Just a tip, always purge the beer line fully out before you fill your first bottle. That way your first fill doesn't push all the O2 inside the line into the bottle! Keep up the awesome vids, your work area is so clean! Cheers 🍻

Thanks for the tip, it’s stupid I didn’t do that, I do the same always with hose of the pressure transfer kit, thanks for the reminder and kind comment!!! Cheers 🍻

Fill up a sample pint. I like doing that to clear the line but also get an early taste even knowing it is often way premature

I’ve been using the Last Straw bottling filler. Initially I thought it was more ergonomically friendly then the “gun” style filler. But after using it for a couple years I’m finding that it’s not as handy as I thought. Think I’m going to switch over to the “gun” style filler instead.

I’ve got “The Last Straw” from Northern Brewer here in the US. Works great 👍🏼

Yes glen filling bottles is tedious and sometimes takes some waste / spills, JA glen flessen vullen kan eentonnig en ook kleine dingen gebeuren als morsen

Great video, i ordered a Blichman beer gun from a supplier in the UK, cost £130 GBP, was promised it would arrive in early July, still waiting.

Thanks for the video, it's much appreciated! I tried a plastic filler with automatic stop myself a few weeks ago, but that thing was garbage, might get this one instead.

Moet je perse het gistvat ook op druk zetten? Of kan het ook zonder CO2 via gistvatdeksel als het gistvat maar hoog genoeg staat? En een tweede vraag; welke CO2 fles plus koppelstuk gebruik je? Eentje van de leveranciers in NL/BE? Verder dank voor je video’s.
@osutuba11 ай бұрын
Did this require a double regulator on your CO2 tank? I bought the Last Straw from Northern Brewer and did not realize I needed that.

Reading your cloudy fruits ale recipe, do you need rice hulls with a braumeister when it pushes wort up through the grain bed?
@homebeerbrewery3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, using the Rice hulls is very important otherwise you get fountains during the mash and a stuck sparge 😊

Thanks for the interesting video. Seems that the chinese beer-gun is worth the money. Just a quick question… Did you pressurize the fermenter during bottling?
@yoreckable13 жыл бұрын
He did, with the same 0.1 bar CO2 pressure, so everything oxygen-free
@homebeerbrewery3 жыл бұрын
Indeed, I used the pressure transfer kit , check the co2 line on top of the lid👍🏼

What system do you use to sanitize your bottles? The white box ?
@homebeerbrewery2 жыл бұрын
Usually with the fastwasher 12, for bigger batches. For just some bottles I use a bottle washer for just one bottle like this:Bekijk Flessenspoelapparaat deluxe op: www.bol.com/nl/p/flessenspoelapparaat-deluxe/9300000123840064?referrer=socialshare_pdp_iphoneapp Cheers 🍻

Hoi, even een vraagje, maar waarom voeg je ook nog bottelsuiker toe? Is juist het hele idee van vullen met n beergun niet dat je dan in principe gelijk schuim en koolzuur hebt?
@homebeerbrewery3 жыл бұрын
Groeten!

Hi Glenn, I have a question. When you're filling the bottle with CO2 using the beer bottling gun, how do you know the amount of sugar to put in the bottle? Wouldn't this method increase the chance of exploding bottles since you do not know the exact amount of CO2 that will be in there? Thanks for your enjoyable and informative videos by the way, it's awesome!
@homebeerbrewery2 жыл бұрын
Filling the bottle with CO2 will not effect the process of the fermentation in the bottle at all, it’s just to purge out the oxygen in the bottle to prevent oxidation of the beer. Thanks for watching and the kind comment! Cheers 🍻

He Glenn super video weer.
